Another memeber and I are checking around with some local shops about the possiblity of doing a LOCAL group buy on the Borla dual exhaust.
I am just putting the feelers out right now to see who would be interested. I believe the exhaust is back ordered right now, so it might be a little while before they arrive. To make this as simple as possible, we are doing this as a local group buy only and you would have to pick up the exhaust somewhere in the Chicago area. The price would probably be around $600 + tax. We would need a minimum of 10 units. A depost will probably be required to get in on the group buy which would be refundable if we don't get the required number of people and non-refundable once the order is placed.
Post here if you would be interested. I am going to repost this thread in the other forums, but you only need to reply to one of them.
Details to follow.

Still waiting to get my call from COZ tellin me that my unit is ready to be paid for and shipped out. If I get the word that we have a local group buy goin on for 600 bucks plus tax before he calls me on my order, definitely put me on the local group buy list.

I would say no at this point. The places I've checked with said that they exhaust is very backordered right now. I just found out that I need to sink a couple grand into a new central a/c compressor for my house, so I'd be out for now anyway.
from some of the things i have read about any mod that is put on the car, it seems that the ECU is smart and ajusts to compensate for the mod. i would think intill they got a better ECU piggy back or replacement any mod would be all around usless. unless its forced induction.

We don't have enough people to make the numbers work right now for a local group buy on the Borla. Maybe we can try it again in a few months and see if there are some 2004 owners that want one.
Are there any other items that you guys might want to try to do a group buy on? The Nismo parts will be here in a few months, and there are plenty of dealerships we could approach about a group buy on them. If you're a member of the Windy City Z Club, you may not even need the group buy since we get a discount on parts at most local dealerships.
