Minnesota Chat Thread
I was looking on google maps last night at the area. I need to fly out there and check it out. It looks very different than anything I'm used to. Cool but definatly different.
I have quotes for a moving company, pods, and a uhaul. If my company gives me a flat ammount for moving package I'll go the cheapest route and pocket anything left over. If they do a direct bill like they did when they moved me up here to MA I'm going to hire people to do the work for me

I like Eden Prairie. It's nice and clean. I would definitely look into living in that area, maybe even Plymouth, Edina, Shakopee, Chanhassen, and Minneapolis.I've been to Boston, and Minneapolis is definitely different. People are friendlier here. Cost of living is cheaper, not as crowded, and a bit more country than Boston.
Yeah sorry you couldn't make it. It was a really a good time. There were some 30 people in the class. As far as cars there were a few corvettes, M3's, a Volvo S60R, a RX7, a RSX a few BMW 7 series sedans and then a few other cars as well. It was probably one of best times I have had in my car by far. In the first straight way I would hit 115 mph and then sweep into first turn. If you have not been to BIR before it definitely a must if you have a Z or a G. NISMO_558 you would have had some serious fun. Best part of the day was meeting a guy named John would had is Stillen Tuned GTR runing laps at the track. He was there with a few other club racers. That car was nothing short of absolutely amazing.

I live in Minneapolis proper and liked it, but as my family grew I needed more yard space and a bigger garage. Hence, I'm in the 'burbs. I like it here a lot better. Commute sucks but I knew it would. EP isn't far from me, probably 15 minutes. I work in downtown Mpls which is 20 miles from me, and it takes about 30-40 minutes on average to get to work.
I would love to be able to get into a house. I haven't had to cut grass in years. A garage to tool around in is a must as well.
Now for the most important question. How are the girls out there?

I think the chicks around here need a dose of 'get out more.' I've lived everywhere, and the girls around here are coming around. I don't like the way some of them dress (like they're still at home in pj's), but the more sophisticated ones get out and dress nicely, work out, look good.
There's a lot of hot spots for eye candy. Lake Calhoun comes to mind.
I like having a short commute to work but it depends on the housing situation. I don't want to get into another spot like I'm in now and have to pay outrageous rent. I'll know more once I get out there and have a chance to look around.
Calhoun, Uptown ftw, or St. Louis Park is nice. There are some fine women out in St. Louis park, I'm from the Northwest Burbs and the only thing happenin out here is Maple Grove, but it's too far from the city imo. Plymouth is nice and quiet, I used to live in Plymouth and wouldn't mind going back. and as far as the market out here, it's a buyers market for sure.
