I'm wondering if I should just get the flex joints deleted from my y pipe and replace it with straight piping. Thoughts?

I'd ditch the test pipes then or its going to be real raspy and loud as hell. Wait a minute are we talking about the 260z or the 350??

Why would deleting the flex joints make it raspy?

I'm talking about the Z33 (the 260 is aka the S30). I think the deletion of the flex pipes will damage the TP's or some other part of the exhaust.

ya dave i would probably leave the flex pipes in. they are there so that when you step on it and your motor actually moves back and forth while you are driving there is some give in the exhaust so you are not moving your whole exhuast back and forth. its not really a huge deal because of the rubber exhaust hangers should allow some give but still you kinda want the flex pipe.

Pics? Ssshh.... I'll post them some time tonight if I have time and I'm not drunk. I had a bad day at work. I'll get over it. I just have to throw away my feelings and not actually give a **** about humans. lol

BTW, I'm going to ditch the acid bath and just take apart the body panels and strip each piece. Gonna use aircraft stripper and lots of newspapers and trash bags. At least I have a couple of saw horses. Anyone want to help? lol

I sold mine in the first year and never looked back. I'm wondering if I could use my OEM strutbar on the 260. That would be cool if I could.

So anyone going to be at DCTC for the autox besides me, Greg, and Alex?
