been running redline for 3+ years so far no issues. You just have to make sure that your not sticking the GL4 in where it call for GL5 for vis versa
I'm an amsoil guy. I had redline in my evo and the shifts were notchy/border-line grinding into a couple gears when the weather was cool. switched it to amsoil and it resolved it. Redline has a strong following for gear lube, but my preference is for amsoil based on my experiences

I've read so many posts like this and have to say that I think there's a possibility that people who've had problems actually had bad hardware. I've used RL in 2 different Z's and never had a problem. I think some cars came with faulty parts or at least parts that over time wore out.
I wish. 17-18 hundreds... no good people to play with. everyone I knew kinda quit.
Ahh I was usually between 2-2.3k depending on the week and how frustrated I got haha. s3 and 4 ftw though rogue druid 2's unstopable.
My shifts are not rough but not smooth easy either and shifting into 1st is a no go unless I am near a dead stop. The seller who sold me the car said he got it all changed at the dealer so it should be oem stuff, but I want to get the fluids and check the color out myself.
I have the same issue mine is very notchy though going from first to second when I really get on it i've got to slam it in there pretty hard wonder if I should try the amsoil.

Yea thought about running amsoil when I did my LSD install but (of course I would've done the tranny to but I had redline in it already) I'd say it did help out my gears a little compared to what it was doing before. My only grip I have on redline fluids is that when I do take my car to work (very rare) and it's a colder night into upper 40s low 50s I have to warm it up a bit as it gets a little boggy and doesnt want to shift as well. SO if you drive you're Z year round I would not recommend Redline fluids in our harsh winters

In season 4 I was brutal gladiator)) still have the mount. Good old times.
I hit glad but never brutal or merciless etc played on a pretty tough bg and just didn't have the time/patience for it heh. I get tempted to go back and play again but just can't it is too big of a commitment.
Give in and do it! I am on Jaedanar server Horde side just in case let me know if you need a char too if you dont have your old ones. I have almost any char at high level
Hah I was horde shadowsong then to daggerspine. But ive got several chars played a little bit of cata and had to stop before i got too in to it again. Have an 85 dk 83 rogue 80 priest and various 70's

I'll agree with this to some point....
my evo had only about 9k miles on the tranny and the shifts became notchy into 3rd and 5th when the weather dipped below 30. The tranny had redline shockproof in it. from what I know, it needs to be changed fairly regularly. Whether it was the weather, or just needed to be changed, I have no issues with it now, or over the rest of the winter. I have the same oil in my Z... but I can't really count that considering I put a 1k miles yr on it
