I like the falken fk452's for the price. The falken azenis are awesome as well. I was also pretty impresses by how nice and sticky my dunlop direzza's got too.

Did you use the direzzas in the front? Those were super sticky feeling when ya took the wheels off.

Yeah, I used them in the front, I think when my azenis wear out I'll try those in the rear, they got super sticky.

I'll be using stock 18's off a 2011 G sedan. Luckily they come w/ the new Akebonos so they clear and are relatively light!

Sizes are 225/50 and 245/45....

for an all around street tire, I think the consensus is the Hankook Ventus V12 evo is pretty much the best bang for the buck.....though I think you are looking for more than a street tire. You likely want an competition tire for the track. Look into a MT drag radial or nitto NT05R... at least for the rears

Man, it's been so long but all I remember was that there was a distributor on Excelsior just off Hwy 100 (I think). You'd think MAP would have it by now.

Anybody doing anything this weekend? I'll be working on the 260 some more and sanding off the black paint as well as some of the butterscotch paint. If someone wants to help out with the engine, come on over. I haz beer and Gatorade.

My .02 Lance is that Continental has many more years, thousands of races, and millions of miles under their name....Hankook just breaking into smaller segments. Nitto aka Toyo tires huge in drifting, decent all around tire.
I say Conti's best bang for buck, true track setup=Potenzas, sure the $ but you'll ride on rails./

Thank you Spork for reitterating! Also, should give suitable mention to the Falkens as they have been fielding a private car previously in Grand Am and now American leMans for sometime now solely aimed at gaining tech and insight.

Maybe they did some changes to them because I have yet to hydroplane and I seem to have plenty of traction with them.

Thought I'd throw it out there again if any of you were interested or already planning to go to Wekfest???

www.WEKFEST.com

Apparently the show in cali was HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. Since HIN declaired bankruptcy a few years ago, Wekfest has pretty much taken over.

Lemme know guys, a few of us G owners are already preregistered and looking to book a hotel room. We could all split a hotel room if we wanted to to save on cash.

I have also yet to hydroplane and they held up pretty well after an hour at the track.

A little bit after like 4-5 laps but after I let some air out of my tires it helped a lot they were sitting at like 43 psi o.O

Low body weight is a thing of the past with my new and improved spare tire on my stomach, it is also an nt555.

Have any of you besides Dave gone to ZdayZ? On the G threads we're planning a road trip to FL, and were considering making it around the time of ZdayZ to go through NC.

would any of you be down for this? Most of us have never been to FL.
