So I priced it out on the Porsche site just for fun. $75k later and I said what the hell, I might as well try the GT2. That was $200k.... chump change.

I put my Z away for the winter last weekend so I'm offically rocking the Volvo wagon now. This got me thinking about our Spring Cruise though. I think we should hit up the twistees again in the Spring but maybe a shortened version of the trip this time. Maybe we head down to Wabasha and over this time. I'll do some research and see what cools restaurants I can find along the route. Gives me something to think about over the next few long cold months of winter. Maybe we should hold a monthly Z meet and greet at Hooters just to stay warm!

On the day i was going to put my z in to storage my clutch went out! any ideas on what what to replace it with and how much it should cost me? I had it towed to the dealership and they said 2100 2200 for all oem replacements....

If you can deal with a bit more drivetrain noise, known to some as flywheel chatter, you can get an ACT flywheel/clutch combo for around $700-800 shipped. If you're replacing the clutch and you can deal with a bit more noise, now would be the best time to upgrade the flywheel as well.
Damn G-anik... That better be your parents car or something.

Yea, the black one is my dads. He works in Illinois from Sunday to thursday so he is never home and told me to just pull the insurance and drive the AWD lease.

I hated the JWT clutch I drove. ACT would be my choice out of the two. Honestly if you have no complaints about the stocker, just replace with that.
Install should be no more than 3-4 hrs worth of labor. If they are quoting you more than that, I would look elsewhere.

Come on Dave, for that price just get the GTR! Or maybe even a Noble. I watched an episode of SuperCars exposed the other day that featured these. I'm starting to like these more and more.

As for the Spring cruise, I think it would be a good idea to have a shorter trip. There are a lot of cool places around here. I still want to do Leine Lodge.
Hooters sounds good, just to meet and shoot the breeze.
Ouch. ACT clutch ftw! It shouldn't cost that much. Sounds to me like the stealerships are getting desparate.

So what do I have planned?
I'm going to put the Z on stands and take the wheels off for better storage.
I was thinking of selling my Helix test pipes and going to a single exhaust system.
I need new tires by next summer. Aaron, can you send me info on where you bought yours? I'd like to give Vredestein a try.
I'm looking into rear fins for the bumper. Anyone think they know a shop that can fab something unique?
