I think Tara would be against another Z, but I'll have to ask. At least I know if he gave a ride to someone, it's only 1 other person in the car.
The plan is to have him give a ride to our neighbor's daughter when they both start going to HS together. She's a year behind.

Sorry for my lack of forum response, but been busy with college(I did make dean's list last semester with a 4.0) and plans for the Z. Going to have it towed to DB sometime in May, so when I come back from my 3 week "field trip" with it all fixed and tuned to close to 600-650 rwhp. It was at like 385 or so on lowest boost before I had to park it due to something draining the battery and what I think was a fuel pump issue, was to cold to find out more.
Also the boost controller wasn't hooked up so was running on wastegate and was showing only 6 psi. So that's on my list, fix twin pumps so they are done right and draw from both sides of tank so i can stop filling up every time i hit 1/2 tank, fix haltech wiring to bc so i can get it dialed in, and tune it so I can enjoy all the power and make it slightly easier to drive when normal driving.
Was hoping I didn't have to fix stuff with this return and could get bodykit stuff but guess that will have to wait till next year.
Anyways hope everything is going well with your kid Dave, and everyone is spending their refund well.

Hey, Dan. Congrats on the GPA. What are you studying?
It's a slow recovery process for the little man, but he's doing okay. Sucks that he has to deal with this at the age of 10, but I think he'll grow up being more knowledgeable about food and health.
I'm shopping online for car ideas. What do you think of this one?

Currently going for a BA in CS. Right now getting alot of my generals done, haven't gotten into the hard classes yet.
I am also looking at getting a new, well newer car for winter. My dodge is so close to me just pushing it off a cliff. Looking at a 2004 Audi A4 only bad part about it is it is an automatic.

They definitely have a reputation, but my experience has been that they are as reliable as another other car on the road.
my 'step' mom had a passat with the 1.8t just like the audi. it had issues, but nothing any other neglected car would have.
brother in law had an older a4 (B5) it's 15+ years old, and not any more unreliable than anything else.
I'd buy one long before buying anything with a GM badge.... not sure that is saying much because IMHO GM's are the biggest piles of **** on the roads

So I got 6 packages delivered to my house by FedEx. They were from my dad. I've been getting emails from him lately.
Rewind: We haven't really spoken in months, probably close to a year. My brother is really mad at him, and I'm just tired of the drama and trying to be the good guy.
Anyway, all the signs (emails, packages, etc) have been pointing to him accepting the fact that he's on his death bed. His health is in bad shape, and it sounds like his heart is straining to work. I guess his years of smoking plus genetics went against his odds of living a healthy life.
The boxes had all kinds of personal stuff, mostly documents. However, there is some cool stuff that he sent me about our family from his side including all kinds of military docs about him and his dad. There is a lot of history here! I can't believe he had all this stuff, but he also kept mementos on me and my brother. Kinda cool that he sent me a panoramic photo of my HS graduation class. I didn't even know we had one.
Don't bother with condolences. I'm not sad. He doesn't want me to be sad, and he has taken all the steps to make sure I'm not involved in anything when he dies. I'm only sad about the fact that he's never known my kids or saved our photo albums from when I was a kid. All I have are stories and a few random photos here and there.
So about this weekend...

Well, all I can say is please don't be that person that sells or gives away the military memorabilia! I can't stand these pawn shows where people come in with stuff that their father/grandfather/great grandfather earned, and sell it for a quick buck. Obviously your family situation is yours, and yours alone, but it all helps to tell a story

lol @ awkward moment.
I will keep the photos, military memorabilia, and the newspaper clippings and what not. I've got his war book, a war rations book, letters from the War Department, etc. Pretty cool stuff.
All of my parent's tax returns will be going in a bonfire or shredder or something. I have no idea why he sent me papers that I'll never need or want. That's why I think he's cleaning house and getting ready.

you would only get maybe 2 months of driving out of it. right now there is a ton of salt and snow on the roads which would damage your car unless you wash it almost daily. is your work putting you up in a place with a garage? you could park it there just in case you do stay longer.
