Default Ann Arbor Rolling Sculpture Show - Fri. July 10 (2pm-8pm)

Every 2nd Friday in July, Ann Arbor closes several blocks of their downtown Main Street for one of the most diverse car shows you will ever see. From ultra rare early 1900's cars, to hot rods, lead sleds, muscle cars, modern super cars and clean modern cars ... there is no restriction on what you can bring. Sometimes you will get to see prototype cars from the automakers and some serious dollar custom show cars.

For years, I've attended this show as a spectator and I've seen plenty of common cars with minimal mods entered. You are welcome to show up and register on site. It's $20 on site or $15 ahead of time. (The ironic thing is it's usually $10 to park in a local garage several blocks away so it's well worth it.) Plus, in past shows I think you get a shirt or hot dogs and such. I believe it's for charity so whatever the fee, it's worth it.

If you haven't been to downtown Ann Arbor, it's a great town. Tons of great restaurants and bars; lot's of shops and things to see. I plan to enter and walk around taking pictures. There's no problem leaving your car, no one will mess with it. The streets will be flooded with carrs and people so you'll want to catch some dinner and walk around. Do pack a chair so you can sit with your frineds.

Post up if you're interested in attending. If so, I'd like to pick a meeting location so we can roll together and park together. Nothing would look sweeter than to have a row of Z's lined up on Main Street. (Derek, you can bring the Lotus)

Just to tease you, here are some pics I took in 2007. (Click on the thumbnails.)
As you can see, there's quite a range in vehicles. Enjoy! (Note, there was a 350Z in there!)

It was a good show even though I was phucked with my cameras. The EOS Rebel DSLR has a dead battery, the power inverter quit working so I couldn't charge and my Canon Powershot backup has a stripped lens gear so it wouldn't extend.

I found this guy took pics and posted them up for everyone to see. Heck, my car is in one of the shots. (Blocked by a Porsche 928S4 LOL)
