Seriously, there were stretches of back roads road where we were over 105-110. If it was a main road, I kept it under 100 due to Police and residents. Many of the turns were taken very fast. When the rain hit, I slowed to 45-50 and it felt like I was parked.

I'll post up my pics and write up in a few minutes. I didn't take any video. We had a HD camera at our feet but between driving and navigating, you don't have 1 second to take pictures. I need a camera mount.

 

I added all my photos and a couple from some others to the thread in Upcoming Events. I also typed up "my story" of what happened during the event. I still need to add the after party. Lee, I think you have the best photos on that. Feel free to post up and add your stories and pics.

Yeesh. They nearly doubled the entry fee... this is causing me to hesitate...

 

They had to lose money from last years event. The cost of t-shirts, hotel, food, decals etc had to exceed the $170 or whatever they charged. I'll talk to Trevor. They need to detail out the $299 a little better. Is this two hotel rooms (since it is for driver and navigator)? This includes lunch? Are they stepping up the decals?

I know they were going to do an autocross on day two. I'm sure this fee includes the rental of a location.

I'll probably register in July but I'll still go. $299 is a lot to cough up without details.

 

True. True. Though I think the only detail of what we got for the $160 last year was 'hotel room and lunch'

I guess I'm just being a whiney *****.

 

Just talked to my navigator from last year. He is going to join me again. So we'll split the fee in half and he will take day two. On Sunday, we'll do an autocross and he wants to try out his RX-8.

If you can find a navigator who wants to drive day 2, you're all set.

One option for day one is to have one driver do the morning shift and switch at lunch. This way you both enjoy the fun Saturday.

 

I just sent in my cash. Just waiting for my navigator to fill out his section of the reg form. I may be able to talk him into kicking in a bit for the registration too. I'm not sure if he wants to drive though... he wouldn't even drive for the short cruise last year.
