I am going to Chicago for the weekend with a buddy and need some good places to go out. I'm not real picky. I like bars, dance clubs and strip joints. We are staying at the hard rock downtown. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Rush St. It's like 9 dollars for a Guiness Draft in every bar on that street. I'd recommend going to the bars in Wrigleyville. My buddy lives in the South Loop and whenever I'm in town to visit that's where we always end up going to drink. I just wouldn't go to a bar located downtown. It's just too damn expensive.

 

Moving to regional section. You will get better input there.

 

Wrigleyville is cool, might want to hit up Lincoln Park too, lots of bars on Lincoln Ave (although it's a younger crowd in that area).

I'm not a big fan of going downtown.
