Default Woodward Dream Cruise 2009 Meet??

Anyone down for a 350z/370z G35/G37 meet?

I would say probably Friday night around 8pm , 11 mile and inkster parking lot behind 7-11 (old redline meet). Leave around 9pm and head out to WW?

Anyone else down?

Thumbs up

I'm up for meeting! Was there something else going on on Saturday too? A speed shop meet. (I need to do some searching.)

The RX7 / RX8 guys have a private lot at the top of the loop on the west side. (Prime spot.) I thought about emailing Rich (one of the organizers for the RX community) and see if he'd allow a few Z's in his lot. He always puts up a tent with a grill and there's hamburgers and hot dogs and such.

Any interest? If so, I'd like to offer that the Z guys provide some of the food.

Let me know what you think and I'll contact him this afternoon.

@Brian
So, I take it that you are going to driver your RX-8 to the dream cruise then? Either way, let me know when you plan to go there, I might want to tag along and we can drive together ... that is if you don't mind

Yes I'm going. No I'm not taking the RX8. I want to go in a fast car. LOL

I haven't heard back from the RX guy yet. The last time I was with them, a couple 350Z's showed up. Hopefully they have room to spare. It's a good shaded spot.

I will be going to the Oakos meet for sure. We can head over together.

i'll be back out tonight, around 9-ish. i normally cruise between b-ham and 9 mile on non-DC weekends, but doubt i'll be able to get more than a mile tonight, heh. i'll probably be stuck in traffic between 12 and 14 mile roads.

It was a pretty good afternoon. I got a little burnt and really exhausted. One loop and I was done. It was hot enough that I drank 5 bottles of water in that one loop.

Here are the pictures I took:

Pro Street S-10 (AJ, I believe this was the one who did the huge burn out.)

'70 Chevelle SS with a blown big block

Look who I've spotted!

The massive pro street burn out up ahead ...

AJ and Jess pull over on a side street so we can all talk.

An out of focus Gallardo

A Magnum converted into a 2 door. Very nice!

Met up with a new guy! All he'd done so far is wheel but it's looking good.

Looks like fun, I totally missed. Like you Brian (except the opposite for me), I thought Dream Cruise was on Sunday I never paid attention to know that DC actually happens on Saturdays.

I wish I had stopped traffic to get a picture of the two smoldering strips of rubber. That would have been the shot of the year. Damn that old guy in front of me poking along.
