For those who were at the show at Cobo on the 27th of March, I saw the silver Z that has the carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber wing. I thought the wing looked familiar when I saw it at the show. I went to northville at lunch today to talk with the guy that works at the party store on Northville Rd. It was his car at the show. He has the Vision Works graphics on the side. He wasn't at the show but his buddies took his car.

He also has an RSR exhaust. Says its very loud. He said he is thinking about a Greddy TT after he saw Yancy's car.

He is getting a Veilside body kit painted right now. Says it will be installed in a couple of weeks.

yeah i saw that silver Z at cobo. it had this huge long list of mods next to it, and most of them werent on his car, i was confused.

one of the forum members, insanamine (i think) sells them, or courtesy parts has a kit by Max Grounding for $85, and i-m-racing.com has a variety of different brands, but they charge way to much for shipping. I think insanamines are the cheapest though.

What Veilside kit did he say he was having installed? When I talked to those guys at the show, they told me that it was one of the owner's (of the shop) wife's car. Interesting, cuz they also told me at the show that they were planning on putting a top secret turbo kit on it when it comes out and that's why they went with the vented hood (for the parallel mounted intercooler).

 

I think they were not telling you the truth or they are not letting the owner of the car know what they want to do to his ride.

I think it is about time to leave work and enjoy the sun. The car will be parked the rest of the week or until the rain stops.

 

stick to insanamine. with this "mod" all you're really getting is something to make the engine bay look good. all the stuff about added hp and tq is bs. since it is something that is going to be mainly for looks, stick the the cheapest price. that was the first thing i got for my car a year ago. got it from insanamine. very clean work, and a ton of colors you can pick from. just do a search for his name and PM him or something. good guy.

mdacko, i noticed your selling your stock mud guard thingies. if they're still around come june let me know, ill buy them off of you. i'd buy them now, but i just made a $2k purchase 10 minutes ago. (details on that later)

etx, i wont be able to make it to the track on wednesday. the part i need wont be in until friday, which sucks. there's a paintball tournament going on this saturday, so i cant make it to the track that day either. BUT, wednesday the 14th im there. if your still going this wednesday, good luck. let me know if you want to go on the 14th either way. maybe jason will go too if he's back from florida by then.

yancy, those are sweet rims you have on your z. forgot to mention that the first time i saw them at Godspeed and again at the meet. very nice.

I saw the silver one there today too -- I was just leaving at about 12:15p and it was parked by the service bldg. Had a Japanese symbol badge on the rear...

 

W000 H0000! 13.067 1/4 run last night! 5.8 psi, untuned. Stock greddy fuel map and pulling 7 digrees of advance. Stock catback as well.

 

Sweet run ETX. I wish I was there to see it. The meet looks like it was alot of fun. I will be at the next meet to kick your *** down the quarter!! 150 shot should do it!! That is if it works!! . There are a ton of 350's and G35 down here! I must see 20 a day along with a few Maybach's. the cars in Michigan don't even come close, too much dam money down here!!

 

If anybody is looking for a NISMO spoiler, I have one unpainted, primed, and wet sanded, just need to be painted to match your color Z. I bought it online but I ended up putting a different spoiler on mine. If your interested send me a PM and we'll go from their.

$150? That's cheap! It must be a replica, not the true nismo one.

J, goto Emery Collision in westland. They did my nismo wing and it's perfect. I purchased a floor model that needed a lot of work for cheap and they fixed it up no problem. Everyone at the meet was surprised how good of a job they did matching the paint and installing it. Tony, the guy who is usually there used to be a paint tech for nissan. Best body shop around if you ask me!

your times are fast considering the new 405 HP vette only runs a 12.6. 13.067 is great. I plan to go on Wed this week and watch. A lady I work with runs every time Milan is open. They run high 8s and low 9s. They have real dragsters.

 

I'll beat that 12.6, gimme a month.

I'll probably be at milan this wed. In the eclipse if I get my ignition back from MSD, but it's not looking good. So ill come out in the Z and see if I can pull off some better 60's with less than the 35 psi in the tires I had last week. Hope to see ya there!
