if anyone is insterested.
i got this email from another z owner a few days ago.
"They finally listed information about the open track day at Waterford._ Check out http://www.waterfordhills.com/results/lnews.htm_.__ Looks like the cost is $100 if you pre-register and $125 if you just show up at the gate._ Last year I think I got at least a couple hours of total track time over the course of the whole day._ I would love to see more than just my 240Z out there._ Please pass along the info."

Mzack, I can bring the red grounding kit to the next meet.
Spartan, I will bring the Injen CAI kit to the next meet as well.
Been away from the board a little due to a pretty big project at work. Jonathan, I agree that driving the Z makes you forget about a lot of ********. I use it as a stress reliever.
BTW, I hope to have a few things done to the Z before the next meet. Clutch Master Stage 4 clutch and lightweight flywheel sitting in my living room right now.
Turbonetics gasgets should arrive this week (gasgets for the wastegates). Apparently, from what I've recently seen on this board, the stock gaskets that came with the kit are pretty shitty. I have to agree.

I saw The S-03 tires today on Mihalko1. Very nice. I should have the exhaust tomorrow.
Looks like a lot of changes for everyone for June 5.
Mysunset are you going to be there to show off those doors?

i wont have the new door panels installed by then, but ill be there.

thanks to our fun flooding all over MI this weekend, I almost blew my engine friday night. I was driving home at about 11 on Industrial rd in Ann Arbor, and before I could react, Im driving through a foot of water. The road I was on had completely flooded over, and I couldnt see it till I was in it. So I put the clutch in and tried to swerve around the flood, but there was no dry ground...next thing i know my engine shuts off. My bf was like "you just hydrolocked, your engine is blown." So we get out of the car and push it through knee deep water into a parking lot up the road. My intake was completely submerged in water. I try to start it a couple more times and got nothing. We assumed that I had bent something and needed a new engine. I was so pissed off all night, my friend blew his engine a couple months ago and my bf blew his engine a month ago, I couldnt believe it happened to me too....next morning we go to my car and try to start it, with no luck. Then my buddy has an idea that might work. We took out all my spark plugs, dried them out, and turned the crank....water shot out of my engine bay like a geiser. There was no clunking noise, it turned smoothly, and at that point I knew that I hadnt bent anything and my engine was going to start. We put it all back together and it started after a couple of tries....to make a long story short, if I hadnt have put the clutch in as soon as I hit the water i would be ordering a new engine right now......it was the scariest thing Ive experienced in a long time, and im damn lucky my car is running. What a fricken scare....

there she is......
your story sounds a lot like my buddies story mdacko. we did the whole taking out the plugs and turning it over and water goes poof everywhere and then engines all better. i made sure to hybernate during the bad weather so i wouldnt have to do any driving. there is nothing like going to sleep to lightning and thunder.
make sure ur exhaust is ready for our next meet mzack. should sound pretty sweet. and i still dont see too much interest in the june 5th meet. are we still going to have it?
by the way. ill be at milan (for the first time this year) with a friend this wednesday IF weather holds up. its going to be from 4pm til 9. ill have my 350, and he'll be in his all black GTP. just incase anyone wants to come out and watch......or race.

I think I need exhaust before I hit the track again. I just installed a wideband o2 setup so I'm slowly tuning the emanage. And I took the slicks off last night because I have to take the Z in to have the front tires replaced and have them fix the window streaking. Has anyone done this at Dick Scott Nissan? I'm going to take it up there asap. I hope they don't tweak out about the turbo bussiness.
No money to mod the Z, I just got ANOTHER toy!

I got it cheap, but I need to pull the motor and rebuild the trans on it. No 2nd gear!
Oh yeah, I'm in to meet up on the 5th. And mysunset, mabye ill come out tomarrow to make a few runs in the eclipse.
mdacko!
Glad to hear everything worked out, you may want to change your oil too. The water can pass your rings and get into the crank case.

You might consider changing the trans and diferential lubes. You could have pulled water into both of these through the vents. I am assuming both are vented.
Glad to hear the engine is OK.
Well, The install is complete. The exhaust sounds sick. I can't get over it. Just got done and took it for a ride. Only 2.5 hours from start to finish. I have some aligning to do but I can do that in the daylight. It is going to go good with the Plenum when I get it. I will let all know how it changes the speed feel.

I won't be able to make it down on the 5th because I'll be gone all weekend for my friend's bachelor party.
I'd like to invite you all to the West Michigan Z Club's next meet on June 12, though. It will be at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners at 1:00. They are reserving a special grassy area for us to park, display, and meet away from the general admission area - there is also a small Jaguar club meeting there that same day - they will be in a different area. We will also get a discounted entry rate of $4.00 per person.
It looks like it would be about a two hour drive depending where you are. If you've never been there, you're missing out. The whole place is incredible. If some of you are interested, maybe you could get a caravan going.
I'm not trying to take away from your meet, just wanted to let you know about ours.

BW3 is off of 96 by 12 Oaks Mall. Go south to 696 and then goto 96 west to the Novi Exit. I think its 162. Its on the northwest part of that intersection. If you need more help, I will provide details. Maybe we could drive out Pontaic Trail or head to Royal Oak afterwards. I don't know if anyone is gogin to Milan or not.
I had an oil change today and they let me come back an see the car up on the rack. First time I saw everything. The mechanic was trying to talk me into Test Pipes. He said I would see a big increase in HP because the Cats on there now are very restrictive ones.
Maybe down the road.
