the dick scott meet was WAY back april or may. i forget the exact date, but that was the meet that i went to. it was the first and last meet of the year.
any way, i emailed all the people that i know of that are in that club. i've gotten 4 replies (of 50 emails sent). 3 of them want to be added to our list and are very interested in getting something together for the summer. i think one of them is a 350z and the other 2 are 240's not sure yet. anyway, i emailed them links to this site, if they dont add themselves on to the list ill do it in a few days.

by the way is anyone doing anything to their Z over the winter? mods etc.

I just ordered a CAI from Jim Wolf (JWT). It was only $140 plus shipping. Want to do some cat backs in January or Feb.

What kind of pipes?

I will be going to northville just after lunch to talk with a guy who has a silerstone. He has a carbon fiber nismo V33 spoiler from VIS. I want one. It looks awsome. He also has that nice pinstriping that some of the Zs have. I will hook him up with our list and get him on this site.

i've only had the car tinted, and bought some test pipes over this winter so far. too cold to instal it now though. i got mine from 350forums. he sells them on this site. there's a ton of places you can buy test pipes. do some research and then decide. i've actually seen those carbor fiber hoods on a lemans z like mine, and wow does it look good. might be good for the track, among other things, and you dont have to paint it. oh that would be nice. buuuut its further down on my list of things to do. i got a good 30-40 things to get done to the car before i get that. maybe next fall.

as for our list. i've been getting a slow stream of emails coming in from people who agree that the other z club had been somewhat of a dead beat club. anyway, i have 5 people now that want to be a part of our fluffy list. one of which has access to other z'ers in canada. ill wait a little bit longer before i add their emails to the list. ill give them a chance to do it first.

all i can say is its gonna be sick next summer if we get all these people to show up.

Hmmmmm.

Car, fine.
Tires, not so much on ice.

White-knuckled as I smoothly slid towards the intersection. After the snow and ice this morning on the way to work, I'm all of the sudden in the market for a winter beater!

heyyyyyy, welcome to michigan z33fan.

let me know if you need anything to help you along in getting settled in.

as for everyone else who drives their z like in the winter like i do. how are you guys washing your cars?
as much as i'd like it way too cold to wash it myself, but im not gonna take it to some carwash to have it come out clean and scratched up.
a quarter carwash doesnt do the trick, i still have a film of dirt because i dont used the brush, and not to mention the salt on the bottom of the car is still there.

i've been doing a little research on touchless carwash's in our area. i've found one in marquette...a very high tech one. but way out of my way.
theres another one in farmington hills, maybe you farminton hills people know of it on 12 mile, but i dont know if it still exist...no way to contact them.

touchless doesnt use any bristles or brushes or 16year old with dirty clothes to wash your car. exactly what we need, atleast what i need.

i guess i can drive up there once every 2 weeks or so if i cant find anyone closer.

a buddy of mine has his whole bottom of his car rust proofed for 300-350. something to look into for next winter.

anyway...any ideas?

Any suggestions for realtors in the area? Looking at homes in Canton, Novi, Royal Oak, Grosse Pointe, and Livonia between $150-200k.

Gonna be there for at least 3 years. I'll be helping manage construction of the new Greektown Casino across from Ford Field.

No Z until summer, though. I've got to come back to Seattle to get married, and might drive it back then.

Any suggestions on locations or neighborhoods in those areas I listed above would be helpful (or, of course neighborhoods to stay away from would be good as well). Is it really true that anything beyond 8 Mile is okay, and everything inside of 8 Mile is more "city-like"?

I do need help, so if anyone has suggestions, please, please let me know. I'll be there in less than a month, and need to buy a house pronto.

Z33... Call me.

I live in Livonia, and have an INCREDIBLE realator to recommend. Your choice if you use her. 3 years ago, I was in the same search for Canton, Novi, Northville, Farmington Hills, and we ended up in Livonia, which wasn't even on out list. We've been VERY happy here, and there are tons of homes for sale right now in that range.

Royal Oak and Grosse Pointe are ok too.

BTW... I'm interested in which company you work for, since I have a career doing the same thing for Turner Construction.

Check your e-mail. I tried to call, but couldn't reach you. There's an e-mail address within the body of the message I sent you - use it instead of replying to the e-mail address from my350z.com. I'm not sure if the listed reply-to address even works anymore.

Now that we have a big list of people, we need to start geeting contact info and start putting this thing together. We only have three months to spring and we should plan now for a place to have a meet.

I know its gonna snow today but hey its only 88 days til spring.

if everyone would email me, I will star a contact file in excel and start passing it around.

Hey, we've just started a Z club on the west side of the state. Here's our website. If you ever want more people to split the cost for an event, just drop me an email and I'll get the word out. Also, any 350Z owners from the west side, we'd love some more members.

Nice Web Site. I am hoping we can start to get organized for a Mid-March meet somewhere like Livonia or Farm. Hills. If anyone knows a place, lets start organizing. This will ensure more show up. Last year we tried to get one going but there was not enough notice for a lot of people.

AFTERDARKZ, thanks for the info and the great website! I'll have to keep checking to see if you have any events this summer and maybe stop by...the Z needs the carbon cleaned out with a road trip every now and then! Hopefully we can get something going on this side of the state and the two clans can unite for a possible Gingerman or Grattan trip!

MZACK, I agree. We should get something going. Maybe we can meet someplace and then go hit some twisty roads somewhere and grab a bite to eat, road trip to a special event, I dunno... Any suggestions??

I ordered the Greddy TT kit. It should be here in a few weeks, so that's my winter plan!
