I tried replying to this but the Hilton's wireless connection blows.

IMO, the caravan was a major highpoint. Something not to be missed. I have already asked for that week off. I think Bryan was planning a track event. Road Atlanta? We should go down early enough to join this. Maybe a Wednesday to Sunday trip?

as of right now i can't make a commitment to ZdayZ, especially with class/finals and wedding planning.

But Sarah did say she wanted to drive down to Atl again like last year so you never know!

Plus we'll have Zcon up here which will take some of my vacation time as well.

I'll front half the deposit on a cabin if someone else makes the reservation. :P

According to the online site, the deposit is half the total bill. Last year, I just had to cover one night's worth as a deposit. WTF?

I can't cover much before Xmas. If someone has the cash and is willing to front the deposit, they get to pick the bedroom first. (Hence the reason I got the Master last time. Heh-heh!)

I am fully committed so I'm willing to pre-pay my portion of the room cost after the New Year. This would go to whoever makes the reservation. (So I can call 2nd dibs on living space LOL) This way it's paid and I don't have to budget it in May.

Anyone able to get this thing reserved?

I have certain personal rules when it comes to the alcohol.. so I don't want to be a fun spoiler for anyone or be uncomfortable over 4 days. Nothing personal guys, I can explain further offline if you want. So, I think I'm limited to the lodge or offsite hotel.

I'm not going to pay for a full 2 bedroom for just myself (or maybe me and Mitsu).

Alright. I'll reserve it. I'll give 'em a call tomorrow to see if maybe they'll take a smaller deposit. :P We can sort out the logistics later. I have so much money tied up in hotel reservations for this spring. hehe.

We did do a fair amount of drinking last year. Our fridge was pretty much full of beer the first night. I don't think anyone did anything stupider than tee peeing a Lotus... :P Rob may be able to say with more confidence if we were too rowdy since he was in on the pullout bed.

Thanks Lee! They probably will. Don't forget to mention ZdayZ for Bryan's negotiated rate. See if they can assign a cabin number. If you can, request 510 again. Let me know what my share of the total bill is.

Steve: We were pretty tame at the cabin. However, we were drinking beer most of the time. You don't need any reason for not wanting to be around that. That is cool and admirable. The Willows cabins around the corner are fantastic. I did that by myself at ZdayZ 2009. They have a good sized bed room, a full bathroom, kitchen with full sized oven, fridge and dish washer. The living room has a couch, VCR and something that was once a TV. I had no need for a TV so it didn't matter. The living room has a ceiling fan. The covered wood porch has two rocking chairs and another ceiling fan. It is very relaxing and nice to hang out on. You are close enough to the ball field that you can walk back there during the day and make yourself lunch, get water bottles or whatever. Fontana Village has Disc Golf courses, two pools, a lazy river, tennis courts, a couple of restaurants, etc. Dinners are included in the rec hall on Friday and Saturday.

The only downside was that occasionally at night, there would be golf carts of drunk fools or pick up truck loads of them making rounds once in a while. The cabins are well insulated and the central A/C system deafens their ruckas.

Staying off site is a serious mistake. Robbinsville is a long way. You will want to be at the dinners and spend some social time with everyone. No alcohol included with dinner. We may grill out at the cabin or gather there to

If you feel adventurous, consider camping. You can get a campsite with power hookup for the whole weekend for less than $100. If you want, you can always stop by the cabin and take a civilized shower. The campsite is away from the crazyness. However, rain may be a bummer.

It would be awesome if we could get our two units next to each other. (Why does that sound like a gay statement?)

lol at above comments.

Btw decals should be cut and on the way. Hope everybody else is getting a chance to get some GLZC work done.

Lee do you think we can start the forum up on the website sometime over this break? Also it'd be cool if we linked Brian's video to the front page.

Last thing.....Hope everybody has a wonderful Holiday!!

Awesome. Thanks for the detailed description. The Fontana online-reservation system did not show any Willows available, but, I called them and got a Willow cabin reserved 18th-22nd. I'm in.

510 is a timeshare and they can't rent it again.

BUT 1king 1queen and 1 bunkbed $259/night with a view of the ball field. That sounds even better than last year. Reservation made... Who's in? :P Would be GREAT to get 4 or 5 in! Single night deposit is on my CC now. Can cancel up to 30 days before.

In for sure!!!!! Is that a three bedroom? I'll pay extra for the queen if needed.

Glad they brought the deposit amount down. Do you need some funds now to help cover some of that deposit? If so, send me your PayPal Addy.

Sweet! That should put us in close to all the action. So should we sponsor the female jello wrestling contest on Friday night?
