Hey i just moved out to iowa from california and i was wondering if there were any good tuner shops out here? and also any good meets here or surrounding states?

 

It's Iowa man not much going on, and one of the most dreaded drives to go through.

 

i know i drove here from cali haha, you think its worth it to go to chicago for it? its about a 3 and a half hour drive

got laid off found a decent job out here, its not permanent just untill i find something back in cali

 

eh dont listen to him...(no offense greg lol). just because iowa sucks to drive through doesnt mean it sucks. des moines is a pretty awesome town. ive worked there quite a bit, in fact ill be there next week for about a month...I mean, the strip clubs are b.y.o.b. how can you go wrong?...lol but as far as shops i would trust to work on my z? As zivman said, it is more than worth the drive to chicago. there is not much at all in iowa. in fact, a few of the guys from up here go to chicago and its a 5-6 hour drive from here. depends on what you want but i would say if you have a serious boosted setup, go to chicago. otherwise, you can find some shops around to do simple things. i would suggest to you the shop that i use, as i am s/c'd but it would be about the same drive up here as it would be there and chicago would be the better place to go.

 

Iowa sucks cause they have people who don't strap down hay bails then fall off of their pickup truck then hits your Z.....

On a more serious note tho, I've worked in Iowa numerous times myself, Stuart Iowa (just west of Des Moines and West branch Ia. Been to Des Moines many times myself the city is ok I guess as far as entertainment, but on a plus side tho they do have a crisppie creme doughnut shop the only one in the northwest now.

 

your s/c'd? whats your setup? my goal by the end of the summer is to drop an s/c but im not all that sure what i need yet
