Minneapolis area - timed rally event - gauging interest

Yea I know what you mean. Just trying to say you can't ticket someone for not racing; and that is the point of this style rally, to not race. What he was suggesting was that the police would sit at your end point and ticket you because you drove there. As long as you did nothing illegal during that drive, there is no reason to fear a ticket.

I don't get how this denotes any kind of racing? It is not any different then telling your friends to meet you at mcdonalds at 5pm. How they drive to get there is up to them. You would assume they would drive legally but if they don't they are excepting of the risk. Police can not hand out tickets for a bunch of people driving to one place in an organized fashion.

Thanks!
I had an SVT focus before that, and I gotta say I REALLY miss a hatch.... Can't carry anything in this Z... It's making me thinks of selling the Z after only like 4 months of owning it and getting myself into an R32 or WRX...

Looks guys, I appreciate the input from everyone. I'm only asking for interested participants. Tara is the one that wants to set it up.
This is not a race. It's about going from point A to point B to point C within a time period that's safe. It's like making an appt and getting there on time. If you get delayed for whatever reason, that's part of the race and you lose that segment.
If you guys aren't interested in doing something different with your cars, then what's the point of keeping them? You want me to come up with fresh ideas for the club, so I'm trying.
To Millertime, the Z is a hatch. I don't get what you're talking about. I've driven to Zdayz 3 times with a weeks worth of stuff in the car. It has plenty of room.

Freedom of speech still lives!
I can call it a race, but it doesn't mean that's a bad thing.
Let's do it!
