Just a quick question..I am about to order a set of winter tires for my 03' enthusiast and am wondering if people have had any problems using 225/55/17 size in the rear tires on stock rims. TireRack reccomends this for our cars but just wondering what other people are doing this winter or have done in the past.
Also seem to get the impression that Blizzaks is what everyone is using, I've heard that these wear really quick compared to other winter tires- anyone have any input.
Tnanks,
Dave

Get whichever one is available. You would never be able to tell the difference between the two. The 225 would be better in the white stuff, though (narrower track - need to displace less snow) and the 235 better for spirited driving.

I'd save your money and get the Dunlop Winter Sport M3s. I've already used then in a blizzard, 4 inches of snow, and icy conditions. Very safe and next generation compared to LM-22s.

Everyone will have their own preferences regarding snow tires, so get whichever tire you want (although I will recommend WS-50's)
I think that 225/55/17 all-around would make good sense. I went with a staggered setup (225/50/17 front and 225/55/17 rear), but to do it again I would standardize sizes to allow for rotation. Have fun.
