Maybe we can meet you before that at the Lodi exit ( I think that's the exit ) on the local lanes where you can get off and right on and there are several gas stations there at that exit to park at.

We definitely need more entries for the car show But it appears that we will have a very positive turnout for the diehard auto enthusiast; a weekend with super folks to mingle with, interesting mod stories, best prices for mods, best garages for your mods, lots of first-hand experiences in strengthening the VQ35DE power house – the available options currently on the market, a peek into signature body kit options; and planning for those who are curious and have interest in going flat out, letting off steam on NASCAR’s most challenging NE track; with the longest straight-a-ways.

Carl Edwards was the sixth driver in the long pond’s NASCAR history to win from the worst start position; he started in the 29th position. The Pocono International Raceway is known for its different degree of banking, three straights, each with a different length; A track design that produces fender-to-fender action in the turns, 200 mph slingshots on the long straights and photo-finish endings.

I am sure everyone's watching closely, especially Goodyear, as they had 23 blown left-front tires at Pocono Raceway about a month ago. Goodyear attributed it to the curbs.

Can't wait for our turn, next year at this past June ZGCA Pocono track weekend, we made lots of good friends; had the opportunity of bumping into the Mattiolli family, and everyone was helpful and easy to talk to. Great folks! It is the heart of the auto club/racing crowd, warm & big Join us for the weekend, low cost accommodations available. Anyone planning to stay over the weekend?

I was discussing meet points with Glex25 at a G meet last night ( @ Hooters ) and for the stop after the GWB we figured the best spot where we can get off of 80 and get back onto 80 with no concerns about local or express lanes and with realative ease would be.... Intersate 80 Westbound exit 59 'Market Street Paterson' @ the McDonalds parking lot.
From there we can meet up wherever the 80/287 spot is determined.

For the L.I. spot tentatively I would suggest the Clearview Expressway 35th Avenue norhtbound exit @ the NE corner of 35th Avenue and the serice road of the Clearview Expressway. Acess to back onto the Clearview is right there and the Throggs Neck Bridge.

If anyone has anyother suggestions, let's hear 'em.

Once the meet point for the 80/287 area is established with a time we can backtrack the times for these two meet points or whatever else is suggested. I didn't notice, but is there a target time to be at the track ?

I see a number of nice rides here, but it would seem that no one plans to polish their Zees & Gees for that weekend; as I have only 4 entries for the car show. Could it be that this group prefers to get down and dirty typical party animals

A special cruise…….a parade, so to speak, is in the works to actually sample the different degree of banking turns, and the pure excitement of fender-to-fender action in the turns, zipping through 200 mph slingshots on the long straights and with photo-finish endings…… in tune with Carl Edwards & Kurt Busch Pocono’s 2005 triumph. We are now waiting for final conformation from the SCCA track marshals.

Don't worry, what we have decided is to move the prizes to a raffle, instead. Due to the limited number of entries, the car show has been cancelled. With the raffle more people will have the opportunity to take some goodies home with them.
