Meeting Takao at Dulles
Six of us made it to the meeting with Takao at the Dulles Airport Marriott this afternoon. (Interestingly, on my way there, I saw a black Z less than a mile from home, the first one I've seen in the wild in a long time.)
I got to the Marriott first, followed by BobG, VaGentleman (with his brand new wheels and security system), jrreed350togo (get a load of the 19" wheels!), RobbyN, and mikersoft (and his wife).
Takao found us out in the lot, and we were chatting, admiring one another's cars, and having a good time, when the cops showed up! Well, just one cop, who was probably just wondering why a bunch of guys were standing around in the parking lot.
He joined our conversation for a while (despite being a Toyota fan), then we took a few group pictures, and went in to lunch at the hotel (without the cop). I think the cop hauled VaGentleman off to jail. At least he didn't come in to lunch with us. (Just kidding. He had to leave.)
We all had a pleasant time getting to each other. Takao told some stories about Aerosmith, his car collection, and his businesses. The rest of us talked about our jobs and car interests, and then by about 2 pm we all said goodbye.
It was nice as always to meet fellow Zers.
Here are a few Christmas gifts:

NOTE!! The following is only an attempt to offer a picture that is in the spirit of both the holidays and the automobile industry. PLEASE do not attempt this yourself!!

GREAT PICS!
Thanks for posting. It was great meeting everyone, it was especially great hearing how Tako prefers his Z over his ferrari, lambourghini, ....uh, well, ok, maybe he didnt' say that exactly.
Anyway looking forward to our next get together. BTW, I can not believe how beautiful our cars are when they are all lined up side to side, you don't really get the sense from pictures, but when you have a bunch of Zs together of all different colors, the result is just breath-taking.
