My wife and I went to Tobay Beach this morning and had a very difficult time getting in. The event was "private" and was actually a gymkanna (Sp?) of some sort primarily for Porches. We got in because I said I knew Mark when asked if I knew Mark. (Doesn't everyone know Mark?)
Seeing that this was not the meet discussed on this forum, we went to Captree and there was the large meeting of (mostly) sports cars. It was heavy with Vipers and Corvetts, with Audis well represented and a few G35s and Zs among others. We left at about 12:30 P.M. and, therefore, may have missed the large group of Zs that were suppose to be coming.
In any event, note that the Tobayfest is not the general meeting of sports cars. I don't want to go through the "Mark" routine next year.
Ken
P.S. The police presence was minimal and they seemed to be reasonable. Perhaps later in the day things got wild.

Unfortunately Ken you did just miss the 'group' but not by much. If you could of hung in there alittle longer you would of been better 'recieved'.
What you saw at the captree lot was the usuall meeting of ppl every sunday. It's a more upscaled group with old school V8 stuff and some exotics thrown in there too. It's not a dougnut burning group..... lol
That is one of three lots at Captree. If you would of made a right turn comming into the captree lot there are two larger lots and we were at the last huge lot at the end towards the rightside.
More G's than Z's (again), c'mon Z peeps, get the lead out and get the Z numbers up....lol A rough but not official count would be somewhere in the 30 to 40 area probably closer to the 40.
Sorry we missed you or you missed us.

Go on G35 Driver and go to the Northeast and GSquad sections for some pix. The turnout wasn't as good as last year cuz of the weather. This is what I heard anyway since I didn't make it up.
