Brent and altered have done an awesome job building his car and I think every z should rip and sound like that one.
Brent how was the flight home? You definitely have to come to the cape meet.
Yea I had a good time man. Glad you liked the ride. She does handle good and Mike @ Altered Atmosphere did an amazing job tuning the HKS F-Con Pro. I can't wait for my built engine to be complete.

Rs350z: Sure man. If I make it to the meet, count I can give you a ride. Just remember my motor is still stock, not built yet.

Leemik: The orange/Red car with all the TV’s in the Dunlop booth? That was MinHo Kim, he was with Team Emotion and between the 5guys who showed here, they won 11 awards that night, He won Best of Show with that Z, Hottest Nissan (Wild I believe) and Hottest bodywork. In the Dulles HIN he won 4 awards (those above and one for JDM aftermarket) for that car and his team had like maybe 20 awards or more.

MinHo Kim with that car has won the national title of BEST NISSAN for 2004 AND 2005 (and looks like 2006 is following the same path so far). I think every NCCA show he enters he has won with that car for over 2 years....

I saw your Kenwood "ipod" mounted by the console and gave you credit for having the guts to do that. Mike (leemik) and I spent most of the night watching our cars from a little bit of a distance as well. Kind of makes you feel good when people pose in front of your car and have their picture taken.

Hopefully you can make it to the Cape Meet as it should be a great time. Quite a few people are spending the night at the Seacrest Resort Saturday night and we are planning on having dinner, drinks and a poker tournament after Cape Meet and the usual cruise along the ocean. If you show up I'll even give you an extra 2.4 inch shorty antenna that I have!

It's really easy. On this board (M3Z) just go to this thread 2006 Cape Cod Meet May 13th and post your name. Otherwise you can go to www.capemeet.com which will take you to the "local" 350Z/G35 board.

Nope.. it was definately best mild.. I saw his trophy and someone told me later on that his car is considered mild because his widebody kit was bolted on and not molded..

nice car.. not my style but nice car..

still wondering who won best WILD.. must have been pretty wild to top the Team Emotion car..

I was in the Sun Auto booth. I didn't check this thread while over there since it was crazy running around the show, eating, and hanging out with the ladies haha

Hhaha, yeah no Z there. Just so far to ship the car for a HIN. Sun has some other wicked cars such as the Weld S14 and Cyber Evo that would be more worth shipping.

If you guys want the Z to make an appearance on the east coast let Hiro at Sun Auto know.

still wondering who won best WILD.. must have been pretty wild to top the Team Emotion car..
MinHo Kim is listed on the NCCA website as one of their 'Featured' Owners in the Elite category, that is 2 classes ABOVE MILD..

http://www.nationalcustomcarassociat...rs_elite.shtml

Again, notice he is in the HIGHEST class available... yet I have completed against him in the Dulles and Boston shows... Not sure how that happens when I am classified as MILD.....

In order to be in the WILD category you have 5 or more wild modifications... He has at least 6 of these to include: Custom dash, paint change, widebody (any widebody kit is a wild modification), Nitrous & Supercharger, greater then 50% of custom interior panels, custom monitors, and I think he also has more then 11 speakers....

SO I can’t see how he could be classified as MILD. It is possible you saw one of the awards for one of his team members as they won 11 trophies and typically they place them all in front of his car for a team photo-shoot. If they did put him in MILD someone messed up, just as they did when they classified me as WILD in the DC HIN last week .....

From what I can tell he is right on the edge depending on his total # of speakers (do they count a component set as 1 speaker or as 2 considering they usually come with tweeters right?) and whether or not doing JDM clear corners is considered a 'Headlight Conversion'.

He has SC & NOS so that is 1 WILD modification. BBK is another, Monitors is another, and he has 4 AMPs, that is another. SO these are the limits for MILD class, 4 WILD modifications.

If EITHER they count the clearcorner or he has over 10 speakers he would be in WILD by their rule book.

If you picked up the rule book at the DC show, check out pages 19 - 21. Pay close attention to page 21 as that lists the WILD modifications. If you have less then 4 of those you are MILD at best. 5 or more and you are at a minimum WILD.

Toby:
As far as I can tell you are right on the edge man it depends on the definition of Bolt on Vertical Doors -vs- Custom and how much they want to consider your SuiteE as fiberglass modifications, also doe the NOS work against you if it is not hooked up..?

You have custom installed monitors, greater then 50% of the interior has been redone in fiberglass (if you include all the Suite E stuff), vertical doors (are the GT-Factory doors considered bolt on or custom..?), Built Engine, BBK and adding the nitrous to the SuperCharger..... That puts you at 6 WILD mods. I am not sure about your stereo, you do not have 4 amps or 11 speakers do you?

I am trying to get some clarification on the classification myself man... too many variables.
