Hey all,

I just bought a new Z, and plan on putting around 35% tint on the rear windows (back and little side window) as the front and front-side can't be tinted in DE. I saw Car V2 does alot of Z work, but do they do tinting? Also, if not, who would you guys recommend?

I don't think Car v2 does tinting, but I am not sure. You should give them a call. You should also PM a guy who goes by "Bullitproof" on this board. He is from Wilmington and has a REALLY nice tint job on his G35c; I'm sure he could point you in the right direction.

I got my tint done at Cindy's in Elsmere. Very happy with results

 

So what are the tint regulations in DE? I searched on the web earlier and got some mixed info. I'm concerned because I'm moving up from FL at the end of May and have 20% all around.

EDIT: From what I can gather, you can have anything you want on the rear and rear quarters, but have to have 30% or clearer on the sides. Is this right? How tough are they about enforcement?

 

I don't think they're real tough about the front and front-side, but I just moved here a few months ago too. ht4 ?

No clue... tinting really isn't my bag.

 

no tint at all on the fronts. if any, i think the percentage is like 85 percent. what i usually do is pay my tint guy 50 bucks every two years. he takes the tint off the front windows, i go through dmv and get my sticker, and then he puts the tint back on. as far as the law is concerned, i think as long as its not pitch black, they usually leave you alone. i have 35 percent and i've never been stopped for a tint violation(knock on wood).

 

I got stopped. I got 14%. The guy was a dick. Don't drive on 13 south around odesa. They will stop you just to say hi cause they have nothing else going on.

My buddy Paul own Audio Works. They do tinting.

 

I don't think CarV2 does window tinting.

I had mine done at Auto Truck Outfitters on Rte. 202...not too far from Concordville Nissan. This is my second car that I've had done there. I have 20% on the sides and rear.

 

Accurate tinting in Dover did mine. Exactly like the way you liked it. 35% all around except the front windshield of course. Awesome job. Charge me 180 for it.
