i agree with that one, i do prefer a slow cruise rather than a fast blow by. It's ok to do it every now and then but not all the time. can we update the list please?

I'm wondering if a hotel/motel will give us a group discount if we have alot of people? Any ideas of the ending point?

i was thinking about NC but maybe we can go all the way to FL, but then it would be a long trip longer then a weekend thing. And as far as the hotel thing goes, i believe we should be able to make a deal with them! i mean if there r like 20 people who want to stay at my hotel... why not i would give them a discount, more business and filled rooms rather than empty ones, right?

I dont know about FL, thats an awful long drive... I would rather drive somewhere like VA Beach, and have time to hang out and soialize then drive for 16 hours, get a hotel room, then drive 16 hours home.....

FL is too far for a weekend. I think either NC or we divert over to WV into the mountains. Lets pull out the maps today and see what the possibilities are. I'm headed to the office and when I get there I will spend some time looking.

That cruise started in Massachusetts and went through the southern part of Vermont. We were cruising for about 90 mins each way. You don't want the route we took - it's much too far out of your way.

This is a quaint little fishing town surrounded by water.

Yea, thought about it. You're right.

According to Mapqwest, Harkers is 9 hrs from Central Jersey
Not sure if this is the most direct route, but gives us an idea.

Also called one of the motels on the island. Rooms run about $60.00.

Count me in. I'm 40 minutes from 95 so you could make a pit stop in Philadelphia.

Taking that planned route would discourage a lot of Mid-Atlantic members from wanting to join. Most of the Mid-A members live in the Baltimore/DC metro area. So they would have to drive 3-4 hours to meet up with you in Norfolk, VA. Then again Driving through the Baltimore/DC metro area would a PITA. Oh well, just so you know.

Thanks for that input. Its just a route that mapqwest came up with. I was more concerned about estimating drive time. We will have to see if anyone from the Mid-Atlantic is interested, I'm sure the route will accomidating to as many as possible. I would like to see and meet as many of you guys as possible and make this something to remember.
