Default reputable tune/install shop for the Z in PA/NJ area?

hey guys,

getting ready to get some big mods done to my car, and i'm not sure of any good shops around my area for the Z. the one shop i was counting on turned me away cause they weren't familiar enough yet with the z.. Anyways, i live in doylestown area, about 40 minutes from philly. I am familiar with the lambertville to trenton parts of jersey, so anything over there is cool too..

Hopefully some of you guys have had some good experiences in our area. I am going to need a nitrous kit installed and a utec tuned this first time around.. but i'll be need the turbo kit installed and tuned eventually, so any advise on where to go will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I'm actually planning on doing a 150 shot/UTEC install myself in the next 2-3 weeks. If you want, I can help you with it.

well thanks, but it would pretty much be you telling me what to do, cause I'm not vq35 savy. Are you familiar enough with the engine to do everything yourself without a shop? or are u taking it somewhere for the tune?

www.Carv2.com

The very best in the area IMO... Great shop, very professional, outstanding work, **** attention to detail. They do a great deal of work on Z's and G's (including my TT install) and I know they have done a fair amount of utec tuning.

Nope I can do it all myself. You can just watch if you want to learn, if not I'll just hook it up for ya
I do the tuning as well. I have access to a dyno thats 10 minutes away, with wideband etc.
Let me know if you want more info. I'm always down to help a fellow enthusiast learn.

Both sir. I'm a Z nut, I love my Z...
If you want to see the cars my friend matt and I work on. Check the link at the bottom. I own a Z and do my own installs/work. We also did all the fabrication and tuning and installation on the 5.4L turbo Mustang you see on the site.
We did work with the AEM Standalone in those two Supras as well.
We're just DIY guys that like to help other enthusiasts really.

Thanks for the endorsement HT4 and Bullitproof. Good seeing you at the meet today HT4. Sorry we couldn't chat long. . . you know how those shows go.

JFORRESTER,

Nitrous, no problem. UTEC, no problem. If we can help, just give a call. We're about 30 min south of Philadelphia. We tune on Dynapack and work closely with TurboXS.

they never answered thier phone, returned messages, emails, etc. and my freind highly recommended them. my biggest thing with a shop is to be professional and return calls (which is surprisingly NOT common) but he got great reviews from some work on his WRX. and said cheap prices.

CarV2 did a great job and worked with me to get a time really quick.

MRC is also a good shop since V2 is in DE (worth the trip IMO) but you seem to be farther north in PA closer to the north jersey shop of MRC. Julian is very knowledgable and a nice guy.

MRC is really knowledgeable and really willing to take the time to help you get things right, but just like any performance shop, their infrastructure and time management leave a little to be desired. The job always gets done right though, which is the important thing.
