wow, you used to reccommend these guys too, sad to hear how the relationship turned out. the guy into drugs or what?

and honestly, wtf did you pay him the 3k for when the car wasn't complete? just like contractors, if you pay them upfront the job never gets done (most of the time)

I know maaaan...

you see how people repay you....it's Fuked up, but I had to pay him for Painting MOST of the car (96% of the car) and for the good body work he did, but he just never put things back together, and left me in the shop.

I think he is a crack head....I really do

I think most of this is your fault, why would you continue to go back to him after he repeatedly screws up.

sorry to hear. I don't understand why you kept coming back (and paid in full..) after countless promised broken and unsatifactory services? like the old saying goes.."screw me once..shame on you..screw me twice..shame on me" or something like that. Shouldn't have taken you 5 years+ and $70K to realize your this isn't a truthworthy place..

once someone does me wrong once, unless they take great measure to repair the bridge i always go elsewhere, there are more than enough places that do the same exact thing to not have to put up with such crap like this. I hope everything works out for you man.

well he never really screwed up the work on a car to be honest....he just never get things done on time...and makes false promises...but this is why I went back to him:

A sponsorship is VERY VERY hard to get especially from an Autobody shop...it costs 12-20 thousand dollars to do to my car what he did...and I only had to give him $3,500...so I tried to get it done ASAP and get out, and never deal with him again... and it worked to an extent, but I got stepped on again slightly. but I really didn't wnat to take the hit for 12-20 thousand dollars in body work alone.....so that's why I stuck with his sponsorship for so long....

I must of missed the sponsorship part from the original post. That's completely different..sure he broke promises..but you're getting work done for 1/2 price..so you weren't necessarily first priority since you were getting free work and he has to make his money else where...that doesn't give him the rights to break promises..but it seem like the hassle is worth the discount you received..otherwise you would of gotten out long ago..hehe

i didn't realize you were sponsored by him. It still sucks what happened to you but its still hard to complain when you are paying $3500 for a 12K+ job

yes and no.....I have everyright to complain...because what I paid is not the point....if you are a business person (a good one) you do what you say you are going to do, because if you don't you will cost people money in the long run.

those days he promised I would have my car...I prepaid for some indoor shows, and they cost quite a bit....you're telling me you wouldn't be angry?......there is alot of little things that pissed me off with this guy....beside the fact that he's a crack head

Sometimes you get what you paid for. Since you were being sponsored it's obvious that you were not his priority. How does he treat his other customers? The ones who paid in full for the work? I understand that a reputable business needs to deliver their commitments regardless of the arrangement, but sounds like you were on the bottom of his to do list every time. Sometimes time and peace of mind are the most expensive commodity worthy of paying more for.
