BAN THIS SHOP (Pro-1 Collision) (in N.J.)

Also you must consider that with sponsorships you are obligated to do certain things for the sponsoring firm. If Harrypotter has show that he MUST go to then he certainly has a right to be upset. The shops incompetence is directly impacting Harrypotter's ability to live up to HIS OBLIGATIONS AND IT COST HIM MONEY!! There is NO way yopu can convince me the shop was in the right. If they did not want to do the job they sdhould have refused to do the work.

I work as a project engineer for a small company and when I order a ~$5,000.00 part from one of our suppliers and it comes with a two month lead time, I plan for the two month delivery cycle and I expect the part to show up on time at the end of the quoted two month cycle. Keep in mind this is the company's $5000, not my own. Now if I go to some auto body shop and they agree to do $5000 of work to my personal car, to be paid by my personal bank account, then I sure do expect that work to be done accurately and on time as per my agreement with the auto body shop. If I didn't obtain some sort of price/delivery quotation or written agreement before handing over my car and keys, then shame on me. But ultimately shame on most aftermarket auto shops for not being educated enough in the ways of doing proper business to know that these types of measures should be taken to protect both the buyer and the seller. The written agreement assures the buyer that the work will be completely satisfactorily and timely, and it also serves to make the seller more conscientious about sticking to dealines as promised to the customer.
This isn't something that I learned in college. This is something that I learned by doing business in the real world. Although many people in the professional aftermarket auto industry may not have formal higher education, it is not an excuse to have a complete lack of business sense.

like i said before.. i hate and will always hate sponsor crowd... they always getting **** next to nothing... drive around like they paid for all the **** on their cars and arrogant about it... i met lots of sponsor kids... always going from shop to shop asking for sponsors so they can get discount on mods.. buy your own ****... spend your own money... you want to have a 30k modded car... then spend 30k on your car.. i feel if you don't have the money to have a 30k modded car.. then you shouldn't have one... i could care less if you go to shows and park your car there whenever they call you.. pay for your own ****.. maybe its just the way i was brought up.. i paid for everything myself... my cars... my clothes... once i started working.. i had to pay for everything myself

So you're saying if your good friend decides to give you a free set of Volks GT-S, you're not gonna put them on because you believe that you have to pay for your own shxt? hmm..? What I agree with you is when they drive around like they paid for everything. I go on cardomain.com and see people list how much money they spent on their mods when the parts are sponsored... That's lame. Or when I post a comment about how I can't afford to buy a Vortech supercharger, some FI sponsored kid flames me for saying, "If you can't afford shxt, don't go FI."

but if i couldn't afford it.. i would drive a stock Z and mod it little by little until i can finally afford all the things i want. Having a Sponsored car would make me the most humble guy in the world, because i know i didn't pay for most of it... and if someone with $4000 in mods on his/her Z said they didn't like my car, however my car is $30,000 in mods and i only paid $3,500 worth? i can't say sh@t to that person.. because they have spent more than i have.. and who cares if my car looks better because i have more mods.. fact is.. they are still $500 spent on me and i have to climb back into my cubby hole

If he got discounts, GREAT! I am jealous as well. I am sure you shop around for the best deal. he found a way to get a great deal that required a little work on his side but benefited him as well.
I know this is probably a moot point, since you will never see a different point of view, and YES I know the type of kids you are thinking about, but potter isn't one of them (and I think he is older than me)
