sorry for the late reply, yea mustangs are sick when it comes to power levels vs $$$. I had an 02 GT with tons of mods. including a IRS out of an 04 Cobra
bottom 2 pics are of the IRS, GT's come with a solid rear axle

but i have an 06 Z which everyday I drive it I am so happy I bought it. i have a POP charger, and hotchkis swaybars (front and rear) already. next is springs (dont wanna goto low, just much stiffer), full exhaust, LSD (i have a base Z so i dont even have one ;( alwell), better clutch and flywheel.
are there any handheld tuners to up the power? again i know NOTHING about Z's lol.

on the rev up...spacer and mrev2 give you the most hp and tq..usually through the middle of the rev range though..

Omega that is a nice looking 'Stang. My buddy had on 03 GT for awhile that was loud as hell. However he was still solid-rear axle. I can't believe Ford doesn't put IRS in these cars by now. I know the '03 didn't have it. Do the new ones have IRS? I don't believe so.
You can get a reflash for the Z. AAM does it and so does a company in Texas, I have forgotten the name atm. You can also UTEC if you wan't, but I don't *think* that is too common for NA ppl unless they are spraying. Check the Tuning section of our forums -- LOTS of information there including a FAQ (I think).

I'm crossing my fingers my training for my new job doesn't overlap with this meet on saturday...it shouldn't.
Anyway, speaking of the Z community...I just got back from the pike tonight with one of my friends. Saw probably 4 Zs up there. A redline, a silver one (i think CS), a black on w/ black wheels, and an 07 solar orange...couldn't forget that one
, along with some Gs. Does everyone find Z/G owners who you don't personally know to be standoffish? I have an e36 bmw and I know it's kinda expected for bimmer guys to be a little standoffish if you put the keys of a high end car in the hand of a rich **** who just bought it for the name, but I thought Z people would be more approachable! I'm the type who always waves at other Zs...even Z32s sometimes...no matter who's in the driver's seat.
Looking forward to chatting with everyone at the meet. I've had my car since new in 04 and haven't been to a Z/G specific event yet.

Zmazing03 and blackfairlady, as im sure you saw im from CT as well lol. I used to work in downtown New Haven. A buddy of mine and I are going to be getting into autocrossing and a time trial day at pocono raceway if you want in. Im usually on the turnpike on fri and sat nights. hit me up sometime and we can go cruisin. as for the power of the GT it was 401rwhp N/A. Had heads, cams, 10.5:1, full race exhaust (was the loudest stang anyone ever heard, even mustang and cobra ppl), cobra IRS, full suspension, Eaton LSD, Strange Gearset etc etc. parts list is long lol. with the combo it had, and if i dropped comp ratio to 9:1 and added a turbo kit with 15lbs, was told 750hp wouldnt be a prob. of course a complete forged shortblock would be needed, but one of those runs only like 2500. **** was FAST, also posted 1.1G's on a Gtech.

wow ...thats crazy...hail sux..I finally have a garage...
400whp is nice n/a....I wish I wouldve bought that 04 cobra..it only had 368 miles..and 500whp already..an old guy owned it and never drove it..makes me upset everytime I think about it.

wow, that woulda been nice, but not for nothin i coul have done the same, but i am very happy with my Z. different kind of look and different kind of power. slap a turbo on your Z, and ill tell you everything i know about the weakness's of a stang/cobra
