Hmm, just got an email from the Bob Sharp Z Club of Connecticut. There's going to be a big Z meet at Warnock Nissan in Morristown, NJ, sponsored by the NJZCC. It will take place on Sunday, June 8.

Sounds like a pretty good start.

 

The Morristown meet sounds cool but I'm not sure we'd get many from Md, De, Philly and Pa up there. Ethan taalked about it and said its a good club at the cape may meet. I was trying to think of something a little further south around Exits 2 to 9, which could also draw those southern Zs. Over by the river there is Washington's Crossing, Lambertville, New Hope and some twisties, if you can get out when the traffic is low and no cops.

Megatron, I'll meet you at fudgepackers some friday night and bring my Z. Was there last year in my impala with a beer cooler before i got the z. wasn't sure things had gotten started there yet this year. It could have been me on the bhpike, but I ran across another PPW yesterday in Deptford at Cooper and Delsea. I've also seen a DB around.

This is funny, it is a very small world. I use to always be up there last year and the year before, with my ecilpse. I stopped up there last friday, but it started to rain. I don' t think it will be to many people out today, because it is suppose to rain later.
There is a blk z, always parked in the rita water ice plaza on the blk horse pike. I wonder if he is part of this board?
June 8 is a bad day for me.

 

I can try to arrange something at raceway park in NJ. Right in central NJ, exit 9 off the turnpike and exit 123 off parkway.... I know some people there. We could probably take pics and park on their new road course.... Lentronic would probably come and do some filming also... Check it out and let me know... You just want a place to get filmed doing donuts, which is ok with me since I was a little to far away in Cape May to watch you closely.. That sounds good to me. I had been thinking about a trip up there for the NHRA event next week but can't make it on Friday now. May try Saturday. What do others think about Raceway Park vs the shore?? Anyone else thinking about the June 8 th meet. I am also thinking about the Limerock meet in JUly and not sure I can get to all.

I passed a PPW today in Winslow on New Freedom Rd. on the way home from work. To fugly for fudgepackers (LMAO) tonight. Can't get there next Friday. Maybe the week after What color is your Z? I don't see far enough anymore to pick you out by the seat color.

I have a chrome silver , with blk leather. I don't think anyone went to fugdepackers this pass weekend, with all the rain. I'll try to get there next friday.
I seen a tack ppw driving down johnson rd. several times. I think it is just the dealer letting someone do a test drive. It doesn't have any tags.

 

I think if we're shooting for the best turnout it should be somewhere along the I-95 corridor between say Baltimore and Central Jersey. The shore is nice, but it's just too much of a pain to get to for anyone outside of NJ. Philly is actually a pretty centrally located spot that is accessible to both the MD/VA crowd and the North Jersey/CT crew...I just don't know of many good places to meet up...maybe if we could arrange something down by the river (Penn's Landing) it would be OK...otherwise I honestly don't think the city has much to offer for a gathering like this (this coming from a born and raised Philly boy...I'd rather drive an extra hour to New York for a real taste of the big city).

I always push for Princeton, NJ...great little town and the college campus is gorgeous.

Hey whats up everyone, i got some ideas for meets...

1.six flags, eh we can take our cars through the animal safari, then drive through the water park to wash em off, then ride the roller coasters to dry em off lol
2. Campsites would be kool
3. Any beach would get a lot of attention
4. A phillies game, or any game
5. like a park where we can bbq
6. Mini golf somethin like a family fun center thing
7. Use someones house for a block party, psst im stretchin for ideas
8. englishtown, or atco raceways
9.Theres a nice place in philly, its very scenic, you can see it when ur drivin on 76 either to or from philly its across the river, sorry cant think of the road, but at night all the houses are lit up and stuff
10. or just gather at a mall, movie theater and watch 2 fast and 2 furious lol i dont know.

Anyways, how do u get to that fudgepackers, i dont know where black horse pike is, and what time does everyone get there? ill prob go if it doesnt rain on any fri.

Hey dan,

It is easy to get to fugdepackers. Take 42south. Like you are going to a.c., But bear to the right, where the sign says williamstown. You will pass a tgif, friendly's, mc'dolls, tagart. Take 42south (blk horse pike) all the way down to the walmart. In the walmart parking lot, Fudgepackers is there. I think it usually starts around 5, but most people don't get there until 6:30 - 7pm.

FYI - Just in case you're a dork and too literal and look for the wrong sign, Its "Fuddruckers" . It comes up a little fast on the right and you sort of take a right fork to enter the walmart parking lot. There's a Mc Donalds just before it. Can't get there this Friday, its my daughter's senior prom, but maybe next.

Bill, your Chevy sounds great. I had a 67 Impala SS factory 4sp, 4 bbl 327, that I got from the original owner when I was a senior in HS. Great car I had a lot of good times with it. Unfortunatley It got ripped off one day when I was at the Pennsauken mart.

Yah ZatoIchi, the 67s are real close to the 66s and judging from the pics of that 4sp 327, it was definitely a great cruiser mobile. I bought mine last year from the original owner. Only 74k on it and the owner was " the little old lady" from Woodbury. I've seen some great chevys at fudgepackers on friday night. I will post a pick and stay away from the Pmart! We definitely need to hook up one friday at fudgepackers for a mini meet - its a good crowd of all sorts of car freaks. Sounds like mega and bluedevil will do it, jill isn't far and jason and tbcz are within range, probably some other local Zs too from Philly and SJ.

A June meet at a central location that could draw from a bigger area, including the bronx, would be cool. How do we reach consensus on location and date ??
