Default July 12th CT Meet, Brunch or Picnic at Lime Rock?

We are undecided as to whether it would be best to have brunch or go straight up to Lime Rock after our morning meet. Let me know what you think. The reason is time.

If we have brunch, we might not make it to Lime Rock until approx. 3:00 PM and I don't know how late this would be for everybody considering we would probably be spending at least a couple of hours there.

If we go straight to Lime Rock after the morning meet, we can probably get there by 1:00 PM and we could picnic there. We could arrange to have some donuts, bagels, etc. in the morning at the meet so that were not all starving by the time we get to Lime Rock.

Great to hear from you Ken and Jimmy. We are trying to finalize where to do the morning meet and are thinking about a place in the Naugatuck Valley area. Please share an idea if you have one.

Victor, I think earlier is better. It sounds like there's a lot of excitement for going to Limerock.

Great. Look forward to seeing you. Hopefully, we can get some more members from NY and NJ to come. Would love to see two to three dozen Z's together.

That's weird. My mailbox was saying it was only 5% full and I only had a handful of messages in the outbox and sent. Either way I cleaned out most of them. Let me know if you still have a problem. I remember Tom saying that he could never send me a PM for some reason.

Looks like we will have the meet in the morning and then head straight up to Lime Rock and picnic there. We will finalize details next week. Will keep you posted.

Victor, I'm getting a message that your mailbox is full also.

I think Hubbard Park is a perfect spot to meet. I went up today to drive around, made it to the Castle too.

Here's some pics of the park and surroundings.

You can see there's a nice lake with a road going around. It's fairly pretty and doesn't look that busy.

Here's a shot of the parking lot we'd be using. I was trying to see if we could somehow line the cars up on the road along the lake, but it looks like we might obstuct traffic too much. It's not the widest road and we'd have to park nose to tail, which doesn't seem that good.
