After the scare I had during the Winter of 04... I will NEVER drive my car during the winter months. It just isn't worth it at all. Best advice is to go buy yourself a beater for a few hundred dollars.

 

Dont scare me with sliding. I just got my Z today. It's fckin amazing.

 

For a few hundred dollar beater, you just hope you dont break down. Better of getting winter or A/S tires.

Get a set of Dunlop M3 Winter Sports. A lot of people sell their sets. I got a pair from someone here, and another pair from eBay. Tread on each was about 85-90%, basically new. Spent less than $500 - saved myself close to 600.

I've got Blizzak WS-40. Those things are phenomenal. 225/17s all around. Only 5k miles on them at this point so they are good to go another winter and then some. So glad I bought them since my Z is my DD.
