Ahh, the good old days.

I hope this meet could be put together as there is a lot of interest. Would be a blast to have a meet with prizes, etc.

To hell with all you New Yorkers haha. Everyone isn't coming to Stamford. That is like 30 minutes for you and way over an hour for the rest of us, and I bet Boston dudes won't be down for that either. Got to meet half way. Hammonasset or Sage Park are both just about half way.

BTW: Sage Park is not where I put it now that I look again. Its right around the "e" in Connecticut.

We need to figure a few things out..

1. Number of people.
2. We need a few cooks..
3. It be great if everyone can bring something...ie: food...bbq stuff...condiments...we can get a list going...lets get organized
4. We need to pick a date in May I say...first week or two. if thats ok...
5. Lastly we need to pick a place....

how does all of this sound ?...

Yeah, Sage park is a better location for the MA ppl. I would definately come down if it were there.

You can start a running list and add to it as people sign up, however, the key first is to get a location. Sage Park would be better in May as it would be too cold to go to Hammonassett. Why don't you contact Berlin Park & Rec and see what they say. It was probably 3 or 4 years ago when I called them so things may have changed. I know in the past they've had other car meets there. If you can get this park in May with no other activities going on that day that would work out perfect.

We can also ask for those that sign up to volunteer specific items and we can rotate cooks (ie. a different cook every 1/2 hour). This way everyone gets to enjoy the day. You don't want just a few people doing all of the work and being miserable. Regarding asking people to specify what they will bring, this is important as you don't want to receive 20 ketchup bottles and only a few packs of hot dogs. You can tell people to bring something else if you have too much of one item on a list.

Not saying this is my situation personally but your map is pointing from Manhattan. There are many members from New York that live 1 hour away from the city.

I am from Queens so that location is fine for me, but I am just looking out for the local guys =)

When should we be expecting this meet?

This is true. But I do feel a centralized location like Sage Park may work for everyone. Main bulk of cars either from Boston area or the NY area. Can't wait for Spring to get here!

I'm willing to bring stuff for the BBQ. Would there be grilling area's at the park, or would someone have to bring one? (Not that one would ever be placed in a G or Z lol)
