Helllo all!

So I went to NH over the weekend, mapped out a few places for the summer run, Kangamangus is a sick road, and there's a lot in Laconia as well.

But I also know there is A LOT of awesome freakin roads along like Newport, Middletown, Narragansett (RI for all you ppl that dont know where that is....) that would be nice for a run, especially in the summer, they all run along the beach!

So I just wanted to get peoples opionions on where you would like to do the run.

The places in NH is about 3 hours north of Boston, and that brings you to the places, before the run even starts....

Let me know.

I have a poll going on driver, and its pretty much tied to for where people want to have it.... The options were, the kangamangus highway, NH, Laconia, NH, Newport, RI or CT Area.

Omega, can you post that poll on this thread? I cant do it.

We need more people's input though!! Please let us know what you rather do!! If you want to check out the driver thread the link is

Next, the date of the run.

What does everyone think of Saturday August 9th or Sunday August 10th??

Poll is up. Either day in August is good for me.

I am hugely against anything of this sort in CT, unless people want to lose their cars, licenses etc

I vote for some where In New Hampshire, mostly because it is closer to me, since I am in Maine. Plus it is tax free.

When is this? As long as it doesn't conflict with my SOLO2 schedule, I might be able to make it.

Alright, so after hearing input from ppl, I think the Kangamangus Hwy will be good. CT area was the next popular, but were doing the bbq in CT, and Kang. will be something new.

Its going to be one hell of a hike, so I'm thinking we make this into a 2 day event, Sat and Sunday....what do you guys think?? I can call and get pricing for some of the hotels in that area.

Next the date, how's August 9th and 10th sound? Its a month away so it should give ppl enough time to make plans.

Post up some input for me guys so I can start mapping out the way and the details on the hotel, etc.

Why I didn't think of this before, I don't know.

So..how about a cruise around Lake Winnipasaukee, NH? Check out the map below.

It isn't the world's greatest go-fast section of road, but is freaking beautiful scenic-wise and never too hot out. I wouldn't label it a "run" though, as the roads are somewhat crowded, depending on the time of day (ie too early to get there for unless you were staying up). I will be there 2nd week of August, run or no run.

It also isn't far out in east bumblef**k. I mention this location, because someone mentioned Laconia and this is right there. You've also got beaches and crystal clear water, shopping for the ladies, etc. Weirs Beach has restaurants, arcades, boat rentals, everything. Also I am pretty sure it isn't more than 2 hrs from Boston, tops. It is somewhere around 3.5 for me (if I recall) and I am in southern CT. I believe the trip would take 2 hrs around the Lake? Hard to say as I've never drove the entire thing.
