Sunday for me. Details on where to meet / what the plan is for just that particular day would be great.

Alaina how long do you expect the event to run, ie when would the driving/pictures be over? I ask because my g/f is coming on vacation, so I don't want to get back at 7 PM or something (by back I mean at the Lake).

Is the demand for a 2 day event really that great? I'm pretty beat after just one. And I think it's plenty of fun.

Even if this is two days, I am only in for Sat. I might not even do that if its going to take too long.

Maybe we should all just talk about this on Sunday at Inskip...everyone seems to have their own things to say about it, so I really dont know what to do anymore with this run, which direction to go in....not getting the response i would like to see.

I'm up for both days no problem. I don't care where we go I just like hanging out with everyone and taking pics. Everyone has some really nice cars and the weather is going to be alot different in another month or two so there isn't too much more time where everyone will be as receptive to getting together and enjoying the weather and ride together.

Lets make this run happen while we still have good weather to do it in. From what I've read sofar about this run there looks like alot of thought, consideration for peoples schedules and planning went into it so far and there doesn't seem to be alot of positive response or people signing up like I thought there would be for such an event. And definitely not as much positive feedback as I've read about in runs done in previous years...

Granted I'm new to this forum and this is probably only my 3rd post here but c'mon if you can drive to CT for a BBQ in a AT&T parking lot where it rained off and on all day and you still had fun then you can do this run and enjoy yourselves even more

There should be alot more and but instead seems like alot more

Just my .02 seeing how I'm considering joing the team and all...

It disappointing to see all the effort Alaina is putting into this to not see the positive input being put in. Iron-Mike is 110% right about the fact that there isnt the support as the previous runs. Thanks to everyone who has been trying to give positive feedback on this.

Alaina, I would go with you for the sole reason that you put this much time into this. I dont care if it is just 2 cars or 40. Im going. I hope so see support for this increase. It would be nice to have an event close to the MA Chapters home.

Here is the list of who is going:

1. Chick Flyn by U
2. OMEGA46
3. TRodis
4. The Riot Act (Sunday is there is one)
5. 03Tour6Spd (Sunday is there is one)
6. Iron-Mike
7.
8.
9.
10.

We have guys who work on Saturday that are willing to ride up together to support this and all of her work. Thanks Brandon and Ray.

Lets go ppl, sign up.

I feel that there is so much going on every weekend that this is slippin into the cracks. We are all pulled in different directions right now, espically with the new formation of the club. This thread really hasn't taken off cus we havent put the focus on it. Lets change that and get this back on track. If this is the total list of whose going thats fine with me! Small groups on Mnt Runs FTW!

- Seems that Sundays are best overall days for events and such with peoples work sched.

I wouldn't take it personal guys and gals. People have a lot of stuff going on during the summer. We had an awesome turnout this past weekend and this coming weekend is going to be great as well.

Also I've noticed you need to give 2-3 months warning for events or you won't get a turn out.

What kind of support is everyone looking for? I'm down to show up on a Sunday. Definitely do 2 days if you all want, I just can only do one because of my work schedule.

What I think you should do, Alaina, is take a stand and set up what you think would be fun, give details on times, locations, etc. No extreme times or locations, of course, and that's that. If people can make it, they can make it, if they can't they can't. At this point, that seems like the best bet. Early in the morning would be best for me. I like the idea of getting things all over around 3:30 or 4. Maybe we should meet up at like 7:30 am?

Speaking of the Mtn Run location, the Kangamangus is about 3 hours from my house. That's really far. Not to rain on your parade.

The current Run that we do I find to be pretty manageable in the distance traveled to get to the beginning of it, actually drive it, then drive home.

I understand the desire for a change in scenery.

Consider my ideas, and post!

Here's an idea:

I can sit down and put together a beautiful scenic cruise in CT, based in the quite corner. The start point will be easily accessible for anyone coming from either MA, CT, or RI. There are beautiful roads up here, lots of farmland, lots of hills, turns, etc. Somewhat like Vermont.

I put it together if no one is interested. I've lived here all my life, I know some great roads.

The cruise will have rest stops at such locations as the UConn Dairy Bar (i think it's open, if not, then I've got a back-up for ice cream), Gilette's Castle, Devil's Hopyard, etc.

The start point will be 45 mins from Hartford, 50 mins from New Haven, 1 hour 45 mins from Boston, 45 mins from Providence.

What do we all think?

Up to you. A week or so in advance? It's two days, people. C'mon. I work in living hell and I can get two days off.
