Default Should I bring my Z to NYC...

Hey guys...I just moved to NYC yesterday from Atlanta because of school...I have a PPW TT 350z built motor...(600+ hp) and it is my baby...I was wondering if u guys think i should bring the car up here...I live in waterside plaza on 25th and 1st (right by FDR drive)...

I am just afraid of all the horror stories about pot holes and rocky roads in the city...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!

bad idea to bring a lowered car with nice rims to NYC.. You will shed your first tears in less than 2 weeks

Your car will be destroyed quickly...sorry bro.

parking fee is 675 a month in a parking garage, and they might tack an exotic car fee on it too for good measure. The city is brutal all the way around

don't take your car there. i bought my 87 300zx turbo from a guy that drove into nyc everyday. the suspension was absolutely fried, and all rubber peices where beaten into the ground and the door dings where unbearable.

Having your Z in the city isn't so bad if you're careful. If you constantly drive over potholes @ speeds over 20mph then you're going to f***your suspension up... I've lived in the city most of my life and never really had an issue with any of my lowered cars...Your MAIN concern should be finding a parking garage @ a decent price. I pay Under $200 now, but i wouldn't put it past some spots near you to charge a lot more.
I couldn't stand to be far away from my Z, we have a pretty cool crowd out here, check us out.. www.officialtsz.com

1) you will take public transportation 90% of the time living in the city anyways
2) to park your car in a garage in the city is like paying rent in other cities.
3) potholes, bumps and other NYC drivers will destroy your rims, kit, doors etc
4) leaving it outside is not an option becuase youll have to move it 10 times a day, it will get stolen, and the winter will ruin it.
5) there is hope - if you can afford $500 a month to keep it in a garage and take it out once a month or so, go for it. Otherwise sad but youll need to leave her behind.
- good luck in your decision. Keep in mind, this is from a guy who purposely takes his beater to the city and leaevs the Volks at home.

You dont need a car in NYC. Take the subway, it is much eaier than trying to find a parking spot.

+10000 your car will be destroyed.

Here's my take ..
1) Agree
2) Strongly Disagree - Thats apples to oranges
3) Somewhat Agree - You have to drive carefully (ie-avoid potholes)
4A) Strongly Agree - dont leave it outside, people suck @ parallel parking
4B) Strongly Disagree - Move it 10 times? That's silly.
4C) Somewhat Disagree - Dont leave the car overnight with the windows open
4D) Strongly Disagree - winter WILL NOT ruin it.
5) Somewhat agree - garage prices aren't cheap, but you can def find one under that range...

Keep in mind, this is from a guy who has been driving modded cars in the city for over 10 years and living in the city for damn near 30yrs.
