Default Looking for tire shop in MA/NH area

I'm curious where Z owners in the MA/NH area go to get tires/alignments. When I had my Volvo I always went to Town Fair Tire in Nashua, but I'd rather go to a shop that has experience with Z's and other sports cars. I'm looking to get a pair of front tires and a good alignment to see if I can alleviate the feathering on my '03. I knew I was low on tread, but I just inspected my tires when I was changing my oil and found that the inside is worn down to the Kevlar belts!

So I'm looking for a recommendation from you guys. Where do you take your cars?

Get a better tire and I suggest Town Fair or a dealer. Usually they give you free alignments.

Not to rehash the 100+ page thread about tire feathering, but in your opinion it's the combination of tire quality and an alignment that will reduce/eliminate tire feathering?

bring it to Hogan Tire in Lowell, MA two Z owners working in this shop. Sounds like you'll need some camber adjustments

Thanks for the info. That's pretty convenient, I'm only about 15 min from Lowell.

Tire quality has something to do with it, but not a whole lot. Camber adjustments and tons of Z knowledge will help you out there.

i have a late 03' as well and your feathering issue can be solved with a little neg. toe instead of a camber adjustment. camber causes a smooth worn shoulder not jagged edges like improper toe. even if you go by factory specs. and get the adjustment directly on 0, they'll still wear! that's what sucks about the 03's but like i said, it's not that big a deal to fix.

and with a z i would never go to town fair. i have a very good friend who works at the store in auburn and they do not care about qaulity. and they only do a front axle thrust alignment for free and that's not enough imo. good luck though man!

I'm thinking about ordering some tires on tirerack.com but I have to find a place to get them put on and get a good alignment.

I have no problem with driving a distance to have good work done. Would I be able to have my tires shipped from tirerack.com to their location to have them mounted, balanced, and installed?

I do know where where Whitinsville is... I used to compete against Whitinsville-Christian in HS back in the day.
