Official T350GZ Fall Mnt Run - Sunday, OCTOBER 12th
Well alright. I was new, so I met everyone for the first time on Sunday. All very nice people. There was 8 cars in all. Two G35's and six 350Z's. Mine is still stock so I was the quietest. Which will hopefully change soon because I am now going to save up for a new exhaust. It's just too quiet.
Anyway, we left the Bayside Expo Center at around 8:40. Saw a yellow Z circling around but we weren't able to find it on the streets. Went up 93 as planned and traffic was a bit thicker than I expected but that was probably because of the holiday weekend. I noticed that I drive like an old lady compared to everyone else. Staying at least a car length's back where everyone else was like 4 feet apart. Encountered lots of annoying people cutting into the caravan and splitting us up.
Had one close call with a bike cop near Manchester, NH. Though he pulled some guy over just after we passed him. Guess no one's radar detector went off. Stopped for a pit stop at the liquor store after the tolls. Soon after we reached exit 32 and the Kancamagus Highway. Stopped for gas and snacks. Then we were on our way. Or so we thought. Someone went the wrong way and got us a little lost. But eventually we made a nice circle and were back on our route.
On the Kancamagus we found a lot more traffic than usual (So I was told). There were even signs to watch out for "foliage traffic". Lots of people looking at leaves. Lots of passing was required to stay at a good speed. Some people didn't like that and flipped us off. Had a couple of close calls with oncoming traffic as well. But overall I think we were pretty careful. I had never been up there before and some of those turns are very fun. I had no idea that my car could go around them safely at those speeds. But it did very well.
We decided to take one of the side roads off the Highway on our way to our food break. Which was at some diner? Forgot what it was called. The food was pretty good, but the service could have been a bit more speedy. After that we got some more gas and went back to the Kancamagus in the direction of 93. The road was a little more clear at this time so we were really able to open up the cars. And when there was someone in front we'd slow down to let the cars in front get far enough away for us to go really fast around the twisties. That last hairpin turn was really nice. But after that we sat in stop and go traffic for probably a half hour until we got back on 93. And unfortunately I got stuck behind a bunch of slow people that I didn't have a good chance of passing so I lost the group. Sat in traffic in some spots on 93 in NH which sucked. And then headed home.
And that's about it I think. The others will probably add more later. And everyone else has the pics and vids so hopefully they'll post those soon.

My phone card is acting up and I am having a tough time getting files off of it right now. Here are a few pics of nonsense that I managed to gt with my phone camera. I am hoping that the others, who had real cameras, will post up their shots.
ChickFlyinByU tried to lead us off into some unknown torture spot.

These guys kept following me everywhere.

This guy wins the "Pimp of the Day" Award!

Although the traffic was horrible, I think we still made a fun day out it. The traffic did allow us to have some nice hairpin corner passing attempts

Lessons Learned from this Mnt Run:
1. Never Do a Mnt Run on a Fall Weekend, that happens to be a holiday.
2. We need to be on the roads early before anyone is awake to slow us down. So I am suggesting a hotel the night before we "run", that way when we wake up at 5-6 in the AM, its not for nothing.
3. The Kam. Highway is an awsome spot for a Mnt Run. Thanks to Chick Flyn By U for setting this up.
I appologize to the first timers that we didn't plan this out a little better. You will see a huge improvement next spring, summer and fall, mark my words.

Thanks to everyone that came out and those that popped their cherries with their cars. You will come to find out that you will chicken out long before your car does.
There is a huge car meet this Wednesday (tomorrow) in Framingham, MA for anyone that wants to come and join. There is going to be a GT-R and a ton of other imports. Hopefully we all can meet up again.
I have pics on my camera that I will try and get up today/tomorrow.
I was talking to my co-worker today about my weekend and how we went up to the Kancamagus for some fun, and he recommended going down around Wachusett Mountain and the roads there in Princeton, MA. Him and his buddies take their classes cars there and he said the roads were some of the best he's been on around here. I'll talk to him again and see if I can get more info on the route they take. Plus it's only about 50 miles from Boston compared to the 130 we drove to get to the Kancamagus this weekend. I'll let you guys know.

That sounds like a great route and the less milage I have to put on the better
It was my first time doing a Mnt run as well. To anyone who was worried about running with stock suspension/brakes, theres no need to worry at all. The car stays glued to the road without any problems, even on the less than perfect roads. One of these runs will definitely boost your confidence in pushing your car.
Although being stuck in the traffic slowed us down a little bit, it was still a fun day. Great bunch of guys, which made it enjoyable as well. I'll be able to post up a couple pics later today.

Thanks for paying the toll for me !I was hoping the that yellow F355 would play with us after exiting the tolls but he wasn't interested, so I was forced to play with the G's for a bit. Then the traffic from hell started
Mike and Alaina were flying on the way home.
