If thats the case we are all screwed.
Cat delete with a CEL will cause a fail but if you don't get CEL then it should be ok.
What I ran into when I got mine done in October was the new law that says something to the effect of it cannot be any louder than when it rolls off the showroom floor. Since I cannot think of any exhaust that is quieter than stock, we are all going to have to deal with it when our time comes to get reinspected.

The place I have had my cars inspected, since I was 16, wouldn't inspect me this year because they had just gotten off a 1 week suspension from the state for inspecting a car with illegal tint.

I got mine done at a shop in Roxbury and I had to promise them that if I got pulled over and questioned about the exhaust then I would tell them I put it on after inspection.

That sucks about the tint and inspection. I have had to make those agreements with tint shops before too.

Finally said to myself it isnt worth it and kept it legal since '07. No hastle from the cops FTW!

NJ is gay when it comes to inspection. your car has to be completely stock at most places to pass. there is an inspection place in EB, across the street from Carrabas next to a deli, that passes alot of modified cars with no issue. If anything ask them before they test it out.

I passed with my cams and all. No problem. In New Jersey. That was at a state facility, not a private one. I agree that if you have no CEL's and your car is tuned correctly you will pass.

what other mods do you have on your car? I'm due next year and I have catback, plenum and soon HFCs. Hope i won't have to undue some of this. that'll suck.

There's a place in my hometown in CT that I'm pretty sure doesn't inspect anything... my buddy took his Integra there a couple years back and the guy started up the car, walked around it, and that seemed about it. No sensors or anything near the exhaust. It was in a small service bay at a tiny used car dealership, my friend gave him the $20 for the "inspection" and he was on his way.

you should have no problem so long u are not throwing a CEL light or have codes. I have everything listed in my Sig. I plan on getting some HFC. I am not sure which ones I want. I do not want the rasp that alot of them give off.
