Default powdercoat/paint volk sf challenge

Hi, I just picked up a set of gloss black volk sf challenges from my friend. im not a huge fan of black wheels(especially gloss black), but i got a great deal on them. Im thinking about making them silver or a gunmetal color; does anyone know a good place(in northern jersey) that will powdercoat or paint them, also around how much this will run me?

Thanks

i guess that is an option, but it seems more of a hassle/time/money; to find a buyer, figure out shipping, and look for a new set. I probably would be losing money as well, a couple of the wheels have slight curbrash, so i doubt i could get much for them, let alone enough for a new set of volks. It just seems easier to find a place to bake/sand, whatever they do, and powdercoat. Im guessing it shouldnt be more than a G to get all 4 painted, but id probably be paying well over a G for a new set, after I sell these.

Id try to sell them locally and see what offers popped up and then if you couldn’t get what you wanted, get them painted or powder coated to your liking. Especially if you bought them for a good deal and in the end saved. Post Pics

Not sure you would lose money if you got a good deal from you friend. Just resell, I am sure you could get $100 more or something at least, right? Then find something you like. I would not paint Volks personally, especially a dark color to a light color.

thanks guys, all good suggestions .... and dont get me wrong, i love the sf challenges, its just not the color i wouldve personally chosen. i guess i underestimated the difficulty in my request, and seems like no one has done this before. so ill probably keep them, i'll try to post pics as soon as i get a chance...
but if anyone has silver or gunmetal sf challenges theyre willing to trade for gloss black, pm me haha

volk owners are very elitist to begin with. so painting their already sacred relics is complete blasphemy.

just take them to a powdercoater (phone book). usually around 75/wheel after you fix the curb rash.

Powdercoating likely isn't an option considering it's a multipiece wheel that is not designed to be taken apart. That leaves painting

Shouldn't be any big deal for a body shop to do. Find some local shops, get some quotes, go with whomever you feel most comfortable with
