Machine shops in NY/NJ?
I'm looking for a reputable machine shop with reasonable prices around north NJ to CNJ. I'm also willing to travel to NY depending on the location.
Just looking for a spot to do a high speed crank balance, .02 OB, full assembly balance, port and polish the heads and set valve lash for the cams. The rest I can assemble myself.

Have I got work done there personally? No. But they have done a DSM motor another good friend of mine. They are well known in the Mustang and Honda world as well. If you stop by you'll see all the work and projects they get.
When I get my block built it will be fisher automotive.
I'll call em up ahead of time to let the son know you're calling. He is mainly the one who deals with the imports.

When you called did you speak to Bobby Jr or someone else?
I dont believe they have worked on a VQ yet but I would still trust em with my motor. They have put out some powerful motors that last. I personally wouldn't doubt their ability to take on the VQ.
Theres another shop my friend knows but his rates are kinda high. I'll see if I can get a name and number for you.

Spoke to someone else and told me Bobby Jr. doesn't work there much.
They haven't touched a VQ before. To tell you the truth, if I had the tools they use..I could do this myself lol.
Where's this other shop located? I'm trying to find out where MRC or use to be MRC sends the machine work to...
