Cruise time!...Lets have some fun! ...Here's the details...

Cruise date: SUNDAY, AUGUST 2ND
Starting time: 10am
Starting Point: GOVENOR'S SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER
Starting Point Address: 901 Governors Place, Bear, DE, 19701 (In front of Audio Jam)
Ending Point: 1st Street, Ocean City Maryland...The Boardwalk Parking Lot.

**Notes**
The cruise will run on RT1 which will give us a straight shot with No frequent Traffic light break up until we hit Rehobeth. Those with No Ez Pass make sure to have 4 bucks for tolls...Those with EZ pass we just ask that you slow down a bit to let the Toll payers catch up. This just keeps the cruise a bit united looking.

A fun cruise like this, is what it is...Have Fun, but remember there are others on the highway. Also remember the highway patrol is out also , so again, Know when to do what. We're looking to build this cruise as an on going thing, so lets be as responsible as possible. Its not a race to see who can get to the beach first...LOL...Just a cruise to help boost our scene.

A Quick Drivers meeting will be held right before the cruise starts.

This will be the 2nd day of the OC Car Show featuring Funkmaster Flex at the OC Convention Center in OC maryland. We plan on snaking the cruise through the Convention center entrance and exit, and heading down to First Street.

After arriving at 1st street, the day is yours!...Head back up to the OC car show, chill out on the beach, hit the boardwalk, Check out Seacrets, get married, have babies...What ever..

There will be an organized cruise heading back as well. For those wishing to participate We'll set the agreed return time at the Driver's meeting before the cruise starts.

Hmmm... maybe I'll take you up on this. Would take me about an hour and a half to get to where you want to meet but would be a nice drive once I get the hell away from Philly

I know a couple guys near Philly that might cruise down with us. Some have different cars but they're good guys.

 

Thinking this over - wouldn't Saturday be a better choice? Traffic might be worse, however, I could get a hotel for the evening then stay two days?!

I dunno, maybe it would work better for some guys...? Meh, regardless... I'll be down for it.

 

Most of the local crowd (at least that I know of here in DE) does this show every year. So they will already be in OC for the show. Wouldn't it be better to do it on a weekend that more people will be able to join in the cruise? I saw you posted this on TST as well. Most of the non Z crowd will already be down for the show.

 

Hey Rotch...The cruise will be a mixed bag of high end tuners/sports cars (Vettes and Vipers,) and a few sports lux rides. We decided to do it on Sunday the 2nd to have a more "clear" path to the beach with as minimal normal civilian traffic interuption as possible. The cruise will be more of a notice that way. We will be making a run through the OC convention Center then head down to First Street, making that our final stop. This is just the first of many that we will put together from here on out. Its just time for something like this to happen in our area. Who knows, this thing could grow into someting pretty d*mn big over time.

Whats up Kustoms?...I've participated/competed in both the OC (June and August) events for the past 5 years now. The August event (Funkmaster Flex) is always a bit smaller than the June event. Yeah a lot still head down to actually compete, but with the economy the way it is, I'm getting a ton of feed back from my friends that say things might be a bit tight as far as participating in the August event. This is why my buddy Brian (OC car show head producer) has set the outdoor to a 1 day show option. We'll have plenty of cars to promo this cruise. As long as we stay consistent and active with the cruise, it will grow in popularity.. Im hoping it will grow to a point of having different destination points in the future. We'll definately have a solid number of rides particpating this time around. ...You guys can help a ton with ideas, advice, destination ideas..etc...etc... ...This thing is wide open to build into something huge!
