Default Nj Tint/ Inspections

I saw some of the posts last year on this but thought I would see if anyone can help. My Z is not tinted and I have been living in NJ for a number of years now. I am however brining my bro's old 740i sport from CA to NJ and it is tinted all around (50% rear 35% front, 5% windshield). Because of sentimental reasons (my bro is no longer with us), dont want to touch the car, Im sure when I register the car I wont be able to get it passed inspection, any new shops or ideas?

I will drive almost anywhere in NJ but Edison, Princeton, or Secacus area are ideal. Let me know please.

Um, I doubt anyone would touch something with windshield tint. I have seen gas stations let window tint go, but I can't say for sure about windshield, sorry.

You have to. I understand the need to not want to touch the car, but if its going to be driven at all, you need to remove the illegal tint. Even if you find someone to pass your inspection you will be pulled by every cop that passes you. Either make it a trailer queen, or remove the tint.

You'll be passed spewing black smoke out the back before someone will pass it with tint. Every shop I looked into, said they would pass the turbo, but not the tint. The cop apparently will give a fine to the place that passed it, no questions asked.

You will have to strip the tint or find someone REALLY shady
