Default Need Advice in Milford CT Area

Anyone have experience/recommendations for a tire place for mounting tires that will not scratch/mess up wheels and pressure sensors?

Also, in case you have had body work, any good places for that?

While we are at it, please mention any places you might have had problems with and want our members to avoid.

So far I have not had anyone work on my CS. I am going in to have my oil changed at Harte of New Haven where I bought the car (it's free) and I am sort of wondering about even those guys. I was not impressed with their sales staff (they drilled my front bumper after I reminded them several times and even had them write it down on the "WE OWE" form). That really sucked. I hope their service is better but from what I've read here many dealers end up screwing up the wheels when they change tires.

Are you planning to upgrade your wheels? I purchased some 19" rims and I had a helluva time trying to find somebody that had the equipment to mount and balance them. I finally found Tires Plus Wheels in Wethersfield and they specialize in mounting large rims. They were awesome. They can balance 24" wheels and have one on display.

As far as Harte Nissan goes, I'm not sure about them. Maybe rouxeny knows them as I think that's where he purchased his car but I'm not 100% sure about this.

As far as bodywork goes, European Motorsport in Middletown (on Newfield Street next to Middletown Nissan) has worked on quite a few Z's and do a nice job paint matching. I had to have my door painted by them and you would never be able to tell it was re-painted. They are not the cheapest around as they specialize in high end cars (Porsches, BMW's, etc.).

Some of the CT Z owners are thinking of getting together for lunch in November (our last gettogether for this year) and you may want to join us as we have a very knowledgable group that I'm sure can answer all your questions. Please check regularly in the North East forum as we will post there the details of this mini meet.

Good luck with your car.

No, mine is from Executive. I don't know a lot about Harte.

Hey if the weather's good I'm all up for it. Perhaps we can have it a little north of hartford? Little less drive time for us Boston fanatics.

Wethersfield is not far from Milford. If you want something done right you have to travel sometimes. 350Zzzz went to New Hampshire to have his procharger installed (he wasn't aware of XXTuning at that time) and rouxeny had his navigation system installed in NH as well. Both will tell it was worth the trip.

We are planning a get-together with a bunch of 350Z owners in a few weeks at XXTuning and maybe you can come up and check out the place. 350Zzzz will probably be dynoing his procharger there.

Keep in touch as we will be posting details soon.
