Default NY/NJ Mechanics Thread

I figure this thread would be useful for some of us looking to mod our cars but are somewhat new to the scene. I don't currently have a reliable mechanic that I go to so this would be helpful for me too. I figure that not all mechanics/technicians are capable of handling our beautiful babies, so post info/reviews of mechanics in the tri-state area that are worth going to who can install: alarms, body kits, tires/wheels, performance upgrades, audio/nav/visual work, etc....

hey.....this is definately a good thread....ATX motorsports in bergenfield can do work( body and engine i think)...pm SirMikel1 if you have any questions about that shop...

tires/wheels--i went to a place called Freidman Tire in New Brunswick (732 985 2211) -nice guy, cares about your car,did many z's (i went to him cause i got a reccomendation)

audio/visual -- Mobile Universe (manhattan Beach in Brooklyn)--the guy steve does amazing audio visual...but its tough to make them get things done..expect excuses and delays but good work...they do everything xept body and engine and tire mounting

I would say Westbury Nissan, they don't give you a hard time for mods either, and in fact they can get for you and install most anything. They have the same owner as smithtown nissan, you can talk to Dan from Smithtown about it his name on this forum is Bluefish.
