With cooler weather coming, I'm going to hit the drags a couple of times. I plan to go to Raceway Park & maybe Atco. It would be nice not to be the only Z there. Anyone???? I'm hoping for some 12.8's

 

Don't waste your time going to Atco. The track is trash
Also 12.8 with what setup? Raceway park has test and tune every Wednesday night.

 

Setup? Mostly stock with a couple of bolt ons. Stock intake, mid-pipe, & mufflers. I use mt radials, but may try slicks. Please tell me about Atco(never went there). I heard it was a fast track. It runs nhra cars, how bad, & whats wrong? Thanks. If not raining Wed. I'll be at Raceway Park.

 

They don't maintain that track at all. I ran there last year and didn't like it. The surface wasn't that great and overall I felt uncomfortable running on it. I prefer raceway park.
And I don't know about 12s with just bolt ons man. I highly doubt you will hit that. Not tryna talk crap but our cars are extremely heavy and bolt ons dont do much for our cars

 

Since I didn't know much about my350z.com. when I posted a couple of months ago, this is not bragging. After posting my times a month ago, I was told that I'm the fastest 07/08 Z in the bolt on class. Its all very nice, but I'm more interested in having fun. 12.90's is no problem, so I think 12.8's can happen the next good Wed. at Raceway park. Is Atco a fast track??? Thanks-got to leave now.

 

^atco is trash?????? I dont know about that..I rent the track once or twice a month with a couple of my boys..My friend is real close with the owner. Matter of fact I just ran my car there on thursday as we rented the track that day as well. If im not having issues running a turbo car with over 650 wheel im sure you will be fine. One of the guys that was with us ran 8.77 with his grand national so how bad could the track prep with him pulling 1.40 60ft times. Also you will run one to two tenths faster at atco. So if you would like to know when the next track rental is hit me up.

 

I see cars going slower at R. Park. I was hoping Atco might be faster. Florida's W.Palm raceway is great.

 

Well my personal experience wasn't so great. Maybe I shouldn't bash them and I'll take it back but I wasn't happy with the left lane...
I haven't gone back since and this was over a year ago so maybe I just went on a bad day.

 

Whenever you want to go let me know... I'm planning on going again next month...

 

i havent been to a test and tune or a drag event in general in such a long time but that last time i went was at etown ran a 13.2 with drag radials...the car was pretty much stock with just couple of bolts on. never ran the z at atco

 

I'd love to go in October. For me Atco is a trip, so a heads up would be great. Love to see some fast Zzzsss. Thanks.

When I used to go I'd consistently run 1 tenth faster at Atco because my 60's were better. I piloted my 4th gen Maxima to 14.0, NA over there. Sure, Etown is a nicer track, but Atco is def faster. I've been itching to run my S13 so I'm game. I have a couple friends with MS3s wanting to get baseline runs as well. I think Thurs/Fri are their best test and tune nights, but I'd have to check their site again. Avoid the gambler nights.

Friday & Sun the weather looks great. I'm going to try to make that trip to Atco on Friday. With 15k on my DRs, they are done! Driving on metal Will be trying new tires-a bit bigger(bad for gear ratio) but a better tire for traction. Better? worse? the same? As you can see I've narrowed it down
