First drag day of this year. Who's going? The wife gave me the ok for us to waste the day at the drag strip if I buy her bubble tea. Is anyone else planning on going?

Open drag test and tune from 9-5 I believe. Good day to practice and get some rust off. Will be the first day in this car for me just to get some seat time.

 

I'll probably wait for some consistently warmer weather as I've had some bad experiences on a colder track. I do hope it warms up soon though, I have some new mods I've been wanting to try out. I also need to get my slave cylinder replaced before I go again. But, have fun and be safe, hopefully its nice for you.

Guys doesn't look like alot of people going. If anyone happens to go and read this ill be in a black s5 with red interior completely stock.

so i had nothing to do today, then i remembered this thread and just left to raceway park... so close to racing my car but didnt cause i have never raced on a drag strip. but ill probably try it out next time i go. I think i saw ur s5... i remember u beat some1 next to u, it was cool. there were also a couple of mustangs that kept going at it, one was a girl. i really want to race around the other track there though... with the turns and all that. I think it would be more fun drivin the Z there than on the 1/4 mile

 

Got to be good at it all!!! Hehe. Were you the Z parked at the lot? I think you had powder coated 18 inch stockers?

Yah but alot of mustangs there today. Alot were having alot of traction issues. The funny one was the gto running 16+ he was spinning through half the track if I'm not mistaken. Anyways next time just jump in and run!! Its fun. Of course a course is more fun but might as well practice all aspects.

 

yea, i was parked in the lot, red Z with black stockers, lol.
there was a car that broke a driveshaft or something, that must of sucked. i was surprised how many hondas there were though. i heard something about the end of march, theres gonna be team USA vs team PR, i went last year, it was fun. freakin cars are fast at that event. 7-8 second cars, wow. haha.
oh u know wat, at the end i almost went back to the gate to pay to race but i didnt cause i forgot my license here back in NY. i dont even know if u need it or not cause i have no idea of the procedure... all i know is that u definitely need a helmet but u can rent one?

 

Yup. 5 bucks for a number per season. 5 bucks for helmevt rental. I think 3 cars broke today. If you ever go and have no idea what's going on just ask anyone racing. Most people very nice with helping out and chit chatting. If they look scary just tell them their Honda looks sick first and butter them up lol.

 

i wish u could rent slicks.. like sign a waiver "if these blow and u die its not our fault" ... like a certain amount for like 3 passes...
