First, I don't recall making any "hate" comments. Point one out if I had. I dont care if you loved your previous Hondas, I answered your question as I saw fit, your love has nothing to do with it.

No one here is hating on honda's. We keep it to Z's , G's and equal or stronger cars simply because we run at a, for lack of a better word, brisk pace. If they can keep up, good and they are welcome to come, but we've been doing this for some time now and don't want to get dragged down by someone driving a 93 civic SI with a foldgers can for an exhaust claiming he's faster than us.

Prodigy - use your judgement. If they can keep up with us in corners and straight aways then they are welcome to come. We also don't want someone to feel left out cause we took off and they couldn't keep up.

We want this to be fun for everyone. No hating. Honest.

Sry, S2000s only if it's my decision. Up to Chick. Look at the list coming, Civics/Celicas can stay in their crowd. This is for Sports Cars of a certain caliber. Before this is taken as "Hate", it's not. It's an obvious observation that they (the cars) wouldn't fit in.

I was under the impression that this was a cruise, not a race. Im all for some spirited driving but if everyone is gunna go ***** out and cruise at 90mph the whole ride it may not be worth it. Ive been on a few cruises for fun and charity to the White Mts/Kanc and we usually try to weed out the people who just wanna race and not cruise. If that's what you wanna do that is perfectly fine but I was unaware it wasn't a casual fun cruise for fun and to make new friends ect.

I realize im the noob here and I don't mean any disrespect. Im not trying to tell anyone what to do or anything. But reading that gives me the impression that people will be racing the entire time and whatnot. Am I just misunderstanding?

im new semi-new to the forum as well and i also was under the impression it was a cruise not a race, and i used the word "hate" specifically because that's what was intended by the comments, notice how with the mention of honda is was automatically assumed that they were garbage turds with coffee cans for exhausts.. i simply asked if it was ok for my friends to come, im in no way a 'smug' Z owner who puts himself higher than the rest of the cars on the road, i enjoy cars and i enjoy hanging with people who like cars and they were interested in checking out a lot of Z's and having fun on what i thought was to be a, for lack of a better term, 'joyride"/car meet/meet new friends type of thing, not the warm-ups to gymkhana, ill let them know not to show, but as for car enthusiasts go, it doesnt seem like a decent way to meet friends.

not trying to sound like a jerk or anything. It's not my event and I've never been, I was just interested in bringing some friends cuz they asked about it and as we all know the Z does only have 2 seats

By no means is anyone hating or disrespecting any car and any crowd.

Also this is not a race and cruising at 90 the whole time. We go out on very rural roads and have a fun drive. Do some people like to push the limit? Yes. DOes everyone have to? No. We are all equal members here and want to have a good time.

My comment about coffee can exhausts was simply that, a comment, not claiming that's who you were bringing.

This event has been organized by chick with omega, myself, and rodis, as managers of the event. Our main goal is to have fun.

-2cents-

This run started out with just G/Z's and a few suburus (omega correct me if I am wrong). We all had a good time and met a lot of cool people in the process. We all had about the same specs, and drove the cars hard. Everyone knew their limits and never over stepped their bounds. We were a mature crowd as dictated by the price point of the cars back then. As with all cars, the value drops and a new demographic enters the scene. We have never had any incidents (besides a few speeding tickets) and don't intend on having any in the future. We all love our cars and love when we get to dedicate a whole day to driving them hard, but responsible. I am no one to exlude anyone from a car event, but safety and maturity are our number 1 concerns, so we have to be gaurded when anyone new enters the scope. If the hondas and what not want to participate, then I invite them to hang out at future meets and car events before jumping into something like this.

Worded perfectly. The majority of our cars are highly modded, and as stated, this group who put this together was doing so when these cars were not reach of the demographic that could only afford Civics, Celica's, TC's, Ecplises, etc. I have, as many others from this forum Im sure have encountered 16 - Early 20's crowd thinking they are the next Vettel/Alonzo as prices have dropped. Dont assume since I said s2000s only that I am a Honda hater. Looking forward to having a good time, but safety and maturity are paramount to who attends.

+1

Alonso vettel? I am them. Does anyone else here besides omega and I watc F1? They might not know. Like rodis said maybe showing up to a meet to get acquainted first is a safer bet for them.

Ok so I am new here and this event looks awesome! I just moved out to Vermont so everything is new for me.. Came from Flat Arizona..! Driving is pretty exciting here between the ripped up roads and all the twists and turns. But I love it. I would love to come to this event but I gotta say, I am pretty intimidated. I cant figure out of its a cruise or a race.. I dont wanna hold anyone back by being there, but I have already got one criminal speeding ticket and dont want another. live and learn.. anyways.. Can someone who has been to this event talk about the day in DETAIL? are you speeding the entire time? is there a way to be in the back perhaps and go at a quick but LEGAL pace? lol. I know- Im no fun.. But better to ask now than show up and **** everyone off. I would love to meet some new frenz in the car scene out here.. All I have found so far are a few drift clinics.. which are pretty 101 basic and boring.. any suggestions are welcome and thank you in advance!

Its a cruise, safety first, no passing even with areas that allow it. "Racers, Morons, etc will be asked to leave.
