In my quest to become a VF ive learned alot about the local freq, let me know if you need any pointers
So what is the "usual" meeting spot? D&D on hemp in em?

Prob going to have my girl with me, shes not really a 'car' kinda girl, but im trying to get her in on it.. if not, I have a side kick that likes to follow me around, im sure he'll want to tag along

There is a VF store in NHP on Hemp Tpk, but that place can be expensive, my BC780 cost me 320 bucks, but you can go to Radio Shack and get a really good one for 99 bucks... also look on line, there are some good sites out there for scanners, Ebay ect... basically all you really need is a basic scanner, if you want to listen in on Scruffic PD, and the Jail, you'll need something that has the ability to do Trunking.. but those can get pricy... My pro-94 i got from Radio shack for 200 bucks or so, but there are cheeper non trucking scanners there for 100 bucks...
just be careful, it is illegal to have a scanner in a car, I don't know anyone who has ever gotten a ticket for it, but it is illegal...

i got the dual trunking..thats good im guessing?
i dont know how my range is...but tune your scanner to 126.65
thats the farmingdale ATIS...it tells you weather and other current info at the airport. i can pick it up in different spots at my house.l see if you can.

my house in EM can't pick it up, when i kill the squelch it comes in broken up, and barly readable.. the thing is with alot of Air craft freq is that they are great if your 100 feet up, but on the groud there are too many builds and stuff in the way.. but now that this thread has been hyjacked by scanner talk, ill bring it back to car stuff

Went for a Ocean Parkway run tonight, ran past 2 States doing about 70-80, they didn't pull out, thank god, but i need to get a V1.. do you guys know about that pre-used deal, Im thinking about going that route, with it, but i don't know what to ask when i call up to order, anyone know what its called?

dunkin donuts 10 pm where that ****en stupid grand am usually parks. we're meetin up with a bunch of people. hopefully every1 will show up. i wanna get in some cars and do some videos...by the end of the summer i wanna make a DVD type of thing...we'll see how it goes
