Hey there, North Easterners! Going to be in Boston in a couple weeks (for Marathon) and New York City right after on biz/visiting friends.
Looking for good dining recommendations. Seafood or Italian in Boston (not No Name, please); Steaks, Asian, anything in NYC. Had Italian (soooo good!) and decent meals at the big touristy places last time in Boston but I wanna know "Where do the locals go?" Been recommended Union Oyster House thus far (reservations made for whole family already!) Moderate to High $$$ (treats on travel
) is fine.
In NYC, who makes the best pastrami sandwich? I've been jonesin' for "real deli" for years. Pastrami & chicken liver, that sort of thing. I've got Katz' and 2nd Ave on the list already since those are the ones I remember (of course) but any others in Manhattan proper? All other dining suggestions most welcomed. We're staying in Mid-Town but anywhere is fine, even other boroughs considered.
TIA!

According to my wife... Because ive never gone out to eat in Boston or New York. But she said Neptune Oyster in Boston is the seafood spot...
Chau chow house in China town is good for Dimsum in Boston...
Sup Crab is in New York...
also... Foxwoods is nicer than Mohegan Sun if your wanting to visit a casino, they are both nice though, although not that close to Boston...
If you make it onto the cape they have some good whale watching trips, and plenty of good seafood spots...
I personally avoid Boston and New York as much as possible, its very over crowded, and traffic is a nightmare... But hope you had a good trip... Sorry for the late reply.

Thanks Mike!
Will tuck these away for 2021! Hopefully, the marathon will run unhindered next year!
