Isn't that a little extreme Mike? I mean sometimes left turns are inevitable...

BTW, don't feel bad about not getting me the DVD player. That's nothing compared to my car. Here's an email I received yesterday from the guy watching my car. I know I'm going to catch a bunch of crap from you guys over this...

Quick note. The car won't make next week's shipping deadline. The dealership cannot get the car up because their lifts cannot clear the side skirts. Because of this, I will need to get WetWorks to remove the skirts first then bring the car back to the dealership. They also mentioned about the SB for the tranny and that we can change the flywheel and clutch at the same time they replace the transmission. Let's talk about this when I get back from Japan. I will still pick-up the car from Dazz this week and bring it to WetWorks for the color sanding and polishing.

Excuse me while I go slip into this:

Roger, I'm pretty sure that either they parted out your car OR you never really had a car. Can you still be secretary if you don't have a Z ?

Seriously, I'd tell him to "just get me the car already." What good are the mods if you never get the car back.

Roger that sounds like BS.. Didn't they manage to ship the car around from show to show with that same kit? Now all of a sudden they can't ship it to you??? WTF????

If it were me I would ...
1. fly over there...
2. demand to see my car
3. drive it home

I think they are taking advantage of your kindness..

That sucks Roger... I know it's not a Z but you can drive my car this weekend if you want, you just can't move the seat.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to question whether I still owned the car. Even my wife is questioning what happened to the car at this point!

The "funny" part of the whole thing is that I had never talked to the guy watching my car (Sandy) until yesterday. He's a really great guy and, as strange as this may sound, I feel really fortunate that he has taken on my car as one of his project cars. He is very good at what he does and knows a lot about setting up a car, both aesthetically (sp?) and performancewise.

One of the last things he was planning to do was install the Nismo LSD (I have a Base so I didn't have a LSD) and then the transmission question came up. Since it is at one of the best Nissan dealerships in the US, I would prefer to have them do everything out there. In addition, the guy who repainted the car (WetWorks Garage) wanted to spend another day getting the paint perfect. And then Tokico Shocks has a new spring/shock combo coming out...

The bottom line, don't worry about my car as it is in very good hands. Sure, it may be winter when it comes back, but it will be 10 times better than when it left.

Looks like it is growing into a super meet, very disappointed I won’t be there to join you guys. I am not even certain if I’ll have the zee ready by the weekend of the 26th, for the LI meet; as I am getting a few things done in the intrim..

Oy vey….most depressing.

Will be looking anxiously for the pictures.

Have fun!

....as for the tranny, flywheel and clutch.....sounds mighty suspicious to me.............I am convinced it was drifting away at SEMA.......and now it was either the tires or his air-ticket

BTW………are you into asbestos abatement...lately?.....that outfit looks mighty familiar……….. Oooooeeeeeeeeeeewooooooo

...Let's talk about this when I get back from Japan...it seems……..you;ll talk alright….tell them to send you the money and they could have the car………tell them that you want to start all over again with a 2005 Z

How am I supposed to respond to this Gerald?

OK, I'll give it a shot:

[gspeak]the car is not really of this world now is it...but of another where all things are much smaller and little men will do their deeds...they shrink them out there I guess and they must make things not sooooo loooooooooowwwwwwww...soon work can be done or so we shall see...

I, like a few and many more.........must be FEARFUL (as we early owners are) of all things considered recalled and rather than do it later do it now...a place that can help rather than hurt...only one SEMA for me and no uhhhhh,,,driiiiiffffftttttiiiinnnngg!

flame on gman...but I can face the impending raging storm with it on better.................., or so I would think? The wifey XOXOXOX likes it I think too...oooowwwweeeeeooo!

I think that you want your car to be out there instead of mine...methinks thou dost protest too much? [/gspeak]

Ouch, now my head hurts!

BTW, JC, they have only put less than 1000 miles on the car the whole time it's been out there.
